The OP posted this shortly before JCH arrived for his contract talks and so has a record of posting duff info. "Not happening. Just been told by the same person who has been telling me reliable bits and bobs for the last ten years that we were told that the deal was off as we had been gazumped. Did not know who by, thinks maybe Derby. We had £1M fee and 8.5k per week all agreed and had been finalizing the deal for 4 days before being told late yesterday afternoon that the deal was off. Passing on what I have been told." If we are going to play at an alternative ground whilst two stands are built then surely it would make more sense to demolish the whole ground, apart from the new stands, and build a completely new stadium? Couldn’t possibly be true , pirate has told us our owner is just a sandwich shop owner. Pizza shop owner? |

No chance of getting that though planning by next season, that would take at least a couple of years. Although Abdullatif suggested the plan was to keep the ground open at the Q&A so either the plans have changed or this is duff info. No chance of the pitch being turned 90 degrees. I can’t reveal my sources but I’ve heard we’re going for something far more extravagant and are actually planning to rotate the pitch by 180 degrees. |

So, we need to kick towards the South Stand in the 2nd half to make sure we are kicking towards the Thatchers end goalmouth in the 2nd half? |

The standing is at pitch level around the track. It wouldn't be up to the standards required for the League in my opinion. |

That really is the only viable ground, although god knows how the locals would ever take to us playing there if this ever happen, as both Bristol sides regularly have issues with Cardiff City fans (do City fans still get bused to Cardiff away games?) and a Rovers v Birmingham game would be interesting as Cardiff fans try and attack both sets of fans! Worcester Warriors Sideways stadium is vacant at present and can probably be reached just as quickly by car or bus from north Bristol/S Glos |
