That really is the only viable ground, although god knows how the locals would ever take to us playing there if this ever happen, as both Bristol sides regularly have issues with Cardiff City fans (do City fans still get bused to Cardiff away games?) and a Rovers v Birmingham game would be interesting as Cardiff fans try and attack both sets of fans! Worcester Warriors Sideways stadium is vacant at present and can probably be reached just as quickly by car or bus from north Bristol/S Glos Vacant or used by the Women's rugby team and a local football team? Worcester Warriors woman's team also bit the dust this season? Although replacing the artificial pitch is probably a bigger issue.

Have I missed something, an unfounded rumour on here is turning into gaschat fact. For what it’s worth I’m not expecting to be travelling to any ground other than the Mem for our home games for many years to come or most likely never.

Sixways is currently used by Worcester Raiders. I doubt they use it every weekend and I doubt they'd stand in the way of a league club using it for a couple of seasons if they do. Unless the owners get a professional side to use it soon it'll end up being demolished.

Still at the club going by some pictures at the Memorial Stadium today… What idiot at a sports club thinks this is good promotion for their club? On about splitting the clubs fanbase! Politics should have no place within sporting clubs!

The club themselves have kept this very quiet with nothing mentioned on X.
Surprised Rovers seem to be supporting one party over another at this election, particularly when it seems likely the Green party could well take the Bristol Central seat from Labour.

Yes I know we had Charlotte but that was over plans this is just pure vote material. Why would a professional club do something like this especially as we have foreign owners!

Politics should have no place within sporting clubs! All to do with the football governance bill. Whichever football club had the visit was always going to have to take the allegiance question on the chin. Surprised they went for the blue side though.

Politics should have no place within sporting clubs! Not necessarily disagreeing, but plenty of hustings and campaigning has taken place in places like schools, hospitals and factories.

Yes they have but they are not a so called professional football club. I am guessing pick was bag rovers and the owners are not as rich as the owner south of the river! If I was the owner of the gas would have said do one not interested!

I understand why you would say that but and it’s a BIG BUT this just shows that it was a stupid decision to allow this feeling as it will split the fanbase.

Politics should have no place within sporting clubs! What's appears to be happening here is Labour are worried about losing to the Greens in Bristol Central so they are using the pretense of launching a new policy to ban breakaway leagues to win the votes of Rovers fans (why here exactly?). I feel like the club are being used for party political strategy and really should know better. It's objectively pretty shady regardless of our political allegiances.
