It's a difficult balancing act with regard to Ward, the fact we've given him a long term contract suggests we think he'll develop either into our No1, as a saleable asset or potentially both. The issue as I see it is whether we think he's our No1 for next season, if not then personally I'd rather see him out on a season long loan. He needs the experience of playing regular football, if he plays the last 6 ganes I think that will be something like 19 consecutive appearances the last thing I think he needs at this stage is to go back to being a bunch warmer I think he has earned being here in league 1 with us. I do think we need proper competition - a joint number 1 if you like. I said before his mate Belly would have been perfect, but sure we can find another decent experienced keeper to give him comp. |

Jed Ward is anything between 5’8”to 6’ 4”on google. In my opinion he is at least 6’ and possibly 6’2”and definately not 5’10”. How do I know that, I’m 5’10” and passed him outside the ground a couple of months ago and he was definately taller than me! In the words of the late Roy Scheider.
