That was a hard watch the only positive I can take from that is watching it from home rather than wasting god knows how much travelling. A performance totally lacking in any character most of them looked like they'd rather be somewhere else. Well hopefully most of them will get their wish sooner rather than later. If anyone wants an example of a side where the majority have checked out for the season just show them that 90+ minutes, embarrassing

I was disappointed when Matt Taylor was appointed and he’s done nothing to change my mind. Another clueless performance today. No positive reaction from the players to the hammering at Lincoln.

They will win Monday because some of this lot will be scared of the reaction of the home fans if they turn up like this again. We are all Gasheads, we all want the best, I just post what I am told and let’s be honest, none of it has been wrong yet. I will go to the remaining home games with my season ticket but I am going to enjoy the clocks changing, the spring and the summer but I don’t need the Rovers debating anymore for a few months which is a personal choice. All the best, and look forward to posting on next season. You do realise you don't have to delete your account if your merely taking a break ?

Though i would add...the man a fair few fans turned on as he wasnt banging in the goals ...left. since then the goal threat has dried up as our main assist has gone. Coincidence Martin has stopped scoring ? ...maybe...maybe not. Of course we miss AC - he is a class player. But we should still have enough in the team to creat chances. Unfortunately Evans and Finlay have gone missing which means few chances created. Hopefully Monday's team will include Grant Ward and Aguilera - at least chances will be created even if we dont take them! LT has also been out injured, so with him & AC missing that's probably our two best wide men gone, plus Vale hasn't seemed the same player since his mystery illness. Added to that Hunt seems our only FB who can put a decent cross into the box.

Quite the come down after watch Jude Bellingham wearing the Three Lions. All that way for 0 shots, no desire/effort/quality. Embarrassing Can’t wait till half these wasters are gone. The depressing thing is that we seem to find ourselves saying this every two or three years! Just to top it off one of them smashed one of many wayward shots into the away end during the warm up & I’m fairly sure broke my mates wrist. He’s currently trying to drive us home!

This Team is simply not fit for purpose.

All Port Vale's manager had to tell his players was "get in amongst them, early doors. Most of this lot are either on the transfer list or thinking about their holidays. Believe me, they will not fancy it today"

Poor Manager for me. Hope WAQ and the rest see that. Players not helping him though.

Hate to say it, and did not think I would, but I have no faith in Taylor, I was underwhelmed when he joined and sadly his football have left me totally deflated, and for the first time in decades, we have not renewed our season tickets and opted to pick and choose our games with pay on the day - yup, we are that tiered of it all!! I’m the same. Didn’t want to pay out for a ST this time until I can see what direction we are heading in. If we invest wisely in the summer and start next season well I’ll probably end up watching most games anyway and the club will make more money out of me. I wasn’t excited by MT’s appointment but wanted to give him a couple of windows but I’m concerned by what I’m seeing and hearing at the moment - the owner might have a difficult and embarrassing decision to make before the year is out 🙁.

We have score 1 goal in 5 games. That was a fluke goal that barely skimmed Martins hair in a game we were battered in but somehow held out. Yes but Collins didn't leave 5 games ago. In the 12 games since Collins left we have managed 11 goals and conceded 21. 12 games before he left scored 18 conceded 21. (Includes the 2 Norwich games) There was a stage when Martin was virtually banging in a goal a game...now he doesnt look like he is going to get a shot let alone a goal. Maybe its just a dry spell ?

Very poor today, not sure I can be arsed going Monday based on that showing. Not a huge surprise but clearly not pride in putting in a good shift for many today. Port Vale were bang average, Lofty even looked decent against us 🤣

Maybe someone can confirm what JB record was this season and compare it to Taylors . I'm talking about this current season. i doubt ppg shows the the true picture as at least we were competitive in most of JB's games, although he was working with all his own players and didn't have to deal with them putting on their flip flops with a dozen games to go. Are you saying that comparing MT results to JB results is unfair?

Yes we were very poor today - no hiding from that. But the 2 goals came from woeful defending by individuals. For the first goal why did Conteh stop - was he expecting Jed to come out? For the second there were many chances to stop the attacker but mainly Gordon should have blocked the shot. And sorry to say it when he has just won a new contract, but like in the Lincoln game, the opposiiton keeper looked more assured than Jed - dont get me wrong I want hime to do well, but if that was Cox in goal today he would have been crucified (pun intended) on this forum for that performance.

Certainly for our group of 6 only one has renewed and the budget will have to be cut to balance the lack of season ticket sales.

How is it, we go so long into a game against a team in the bottom four, without getting a shot away!?! Lack lustre, not a single player is worthy of a contract next season. I feel sorry for the fans that wasted their hard earned money going to support them… those players don’t deserve supports like that… especially considering their last showing!!! Imagine if we didn't sign Chris Martin pushing 36 this year and one of the few players you could thank this season for effort!. In my opinion - This Manager certainly doesn’t breed any confidence. As this is a reflection in the team performance week in week out. if we lose on Monday, then surely there has to be some serious questions asked about the way the club is geing managed / run. He has obviously “lost the dressing room” and its beginning to be painful watching an overpaid and over rated squad that is not fit to wear the shirt based on the latest “effort”. Ollie ( as manager) was never the answer BUT I’m sure he would never allow us to sink to this level. NO SHOTS - CLUELESS its very very Boring and very frustrating watching my team these days. As mentioned…….. Chris Martin has kept us up! …..anything less than a win on Monday ……… well you know what the consequences should be…… no excuses!

Ripley, Vale's, goalie is an experienced L1 goalie which Ward clearly isn't, the manager will have to decide if he's good enough for next season or whether we need an experienced keeper similar to Vale's.
