Yes we were very poor today - no hiding from that. But the 2 goals came from woeful defending by individuals. For the first goal why did Conteh stop - was he expecting Jed to come out? For the second there were many chances to stop the attacker but mainly Gordon should have blocked the shot. And sorry to say it when he has just won a new contract, but like in the Lincoln game, the opposiiton keeper looked more assured than Jed - dont get me wrong I want hime to do well, but if that was Cox in goal today he would have been crucified (pun intended) on this forum for that performance. Conteh & Evans (I think) stood still and left the ball for each other on the edge of the box, let the lad waltz between them and finish it. Beyond abysmal |

i doubt ppg shows the the true picture as at least we were competitive in most of JB's games, although he was working with all his own players and didn't have to deal with them putting on their flip flops with a dozen games to go. Are you saying that comparing MT results to JB results is unfair? I'm saying what I posted? If you disagree then post why you feel differently. |

Imagine if we didn't sign Chris Martin pushing 36 this year and one of the few players you could thank this season for effort!. In my opinion - This Manager certainly doesn’t breed any confidence. As this is a reflection in the team performance week in week out. if we lose on Monday, then surely there has to be some serious questions asked about the way the club is geing managed / run. He has obviously “lost the dressing room” and its beginning to be painful watching an overpaid and over rated squad that is not fit to wear the shirt based on the latest “effort”. Ollie ( as manager) was never the answer BUT I’m sure he would never allow us to sink to this level. NO SHOTS - CLUELESS its very very Boring and very frustrating watching my team these days. As mentioned…….. Chris Martin has kept us up! …..anything less than a win on Monday ……… well you know what the consequences should be…… no excuses! Totally agree but for various reasons he keeps his job regardless of results even if we lose 6 out the next 7. Otherwise based on the 'target' by not being in the 'top 8' he would of been gone . The board and management will be inflexible / flexible in order to avoid the appearance of a poor decision being made. |

I’m the same. Didn’t want to pay out for a ST this time until I can see what direction we are heading in. If we invest wisely in the summer and start next season well I’ll probably end up watching most games anyway and the club will make more money out of me. I wasn’t excited by MT’s appointment but wanted to give him a couple of windows but I’m concerned by what I’m seeing and hearing at the moment - the owner might have a difficult and embarrassing decision to make before the year is out 🙁. that's the problem. his style of football will not get people paying upfront. Certainly for our group of 6 only one has renewed and the budget will have to be cut to balance the lack of season ticket sales. Do fans really buy season tickets on the style of play, or just in the hope we'll have a successful season? |

Matt Taylor inherited these players and I feel should not be criticised to this extent. We shall judge our manager from next season when hopefully the club will have signed decent players. The Lincoln City manager was facing similar pressure but appears to have turned things around! It is the easiest thing in the world to blame a manager who has inherited players who don’t seem to be putting much effort in.

They will win Monday because some of this lot will be scared of the reaction of the home fans if they turn up like this again. We are all Gasheads, we all want the best, I just post what I am told and let’s be honest, none of it has been wrong yet. I will go to the remaining home games with my season ticket but I am going to enjoy the clocks changing, the spring and the summer but I don’t need the Rovers debating anymore for a few months which is a personal choice. All the best, and look forward to posting on next season. You do realise you don't have to delete your account if you’re merely taking a break ? Come on albaron! I doubt you can compare the end of the season when players seem to have given up for the summer to the start. JB had issues turning around BG's/PT's failing players and also had issues at the end of last season. It seems at Rovers we either hit top 6 or bottom 6 form every season, I've no idea when we last just finished mid table, probably under DC? |

Last season, the last 10 games, we: Won 2 Drew 2 Lost 6 Last 6 games last season Won - None Drew 1 Lost 5 22 April 2023, we lost 2-0 away at Port Vale. |

At least, hopefully, we won't get relegated.... |

Other managers seem to have coped taking over elsewhere, as you say with Lincoln. It does bring into question Taylor's motivational skills, especially when players are in the shop window and can't be arsed to play anything like they are capable of, to get themselves a new contract elsewhere. |

You have to wonder what the team have been doing for past 2 weeks to churn out a dismal showing like that.
Fans weren't even acknowledged by MT at the end of the game which is also poor.
Still think we need a couple more points to 100% be safe, team has to be more motivated, they all look like they have a suitcase packed ready for the summer.

Yes but Collins didn't leave 5 games ago. In the 12 games since Collins left we have managed 11 goals and conceded 21. 12 games before he left scored 18 conceded 21. (Includes the 2 Norwich games) There was a stage when Martin was virtually banging in a goal a game...now he doesnt look like he is going to get a shot let alone a goal. Maybe its just a dry spell ? First 30 league games we failed to score on 3 possibly 4 occasions. The first few games for MT we were still scoring, possibly because he didn't actively change things and was just looking at what he had. No idea what's happened to the MT we saw when he was at Exeter. |

As I said several days ago 8/9 days on holiday since our last debacle and it would appear another one today. First game I have missed lin person or on ifollow.
Just watched the Sky highlights for Port Vale, we obviously didn’t have any.
At least I saved a tenner today, feel sorry for those that travelled and all who watched on ifollow.
It appears the majority of players have checked out for their holidays, I eagerly await a mass clear out and I hope this Manager has the ability to bring in players that will play for the shirt and can stay fit.
It’s quite obvious just watching all opposition teams this season their are loads of players better than what we have, so there’s plenty of choice out there so no excuses for those in charge to get some decent footballers through the door.
