The depressing thing is that we seem to find ourselves saying this every two or three years! Just to top it off one of them smashed one of many wayward shots into the away end during the warm up & I’m fairly sure broke my mates wrist. He’s currently trying to drive us home! Ouch - just when you thought the day couldn't get any worse! Hope it isn't broken.

Matt Taylor inherited these players and I feel should not be criticised to this extent. We shall judge our manager from next season when hopefully the club will have signed decent players. The Lincoln City manager was facing similar pressure but appears to have turned things around! It is the easiest thing in the world to blame a manager who has inherited players who don’t seem to be putting much effort in. A good manager gets a performance out of any squad I reckon. I accept these are not his players but today ( and I was at the game) was unacceptable. He said one of the reasons he took the job, was the strength of the squad. If he didn’t mean that, a dangerous comment. I hope he gets to the summer, signs the players he thinks will let us mount a play off challenge next season and delivers. Jury out.

As I said several days ago 8/9 days on holiday since our last debacle and it would appear another one today. First game I have missed lin person or on ifollow. Just watched the Sky highlights for Port Vale, we obviously didn’t have any. At least I saved a tenner today, feel sorry for those that travelled and all who watched on ifollow. It appears the majority of players have checked out for their holidays, I eagerly await a mass clear out and I hope this Manager has the ability to bring in players that will play for the shirt and can stay fit. It’s quite obvious just watching all opposition teams this season their are loads of players better than what we have, so there’s plenty of choice out there so no excuses for those in charge to get some decent footballers through the door. Yes, I hope George Friend’s contact book is up to date and he’s working hard to identify what we need. UTG!

I agree look what DC inherited at Cheltenham, what was it no points and no goals? And now he’s on the brink of keeping them up! Did he moan about a sh** squad? Some can manage and some can’t, although the players a bunch of cants for letting this happen. All pretty standard I’m afraid in the Rovers circle of life 😤. UTFG!

I would say there are some very good players in our squad, who either won't or can't motivate themselves to play to the best of their ability. They are very capable of playing at this level and in some cases higher but seemingly can't be arsed. Elliot and Quansah as loan players have shown what can be done when you set your mind to it. Some of the players seem to have convinced themselves they are at their level or feel it is beneath them to be in this league. That is where the manager's motivation should kick in. If it's the players, many will be on their way so nothing to be done. If it's the manager that can't motivate them then that is an entirely different matter! And a worry for next season.

Slight difference is that the Cheltenham players are fighting for their survival in L1, and most likely new contracts next season, our lot seem to have accepted they'll have to look elsewhere for contracts next season.

Any surprise after Taylor keeps telling them they don't fit his style and that he doesn't want them. Must be a joy trotting into work with him waiting for you to be criticised and his positive upbeat personality.

After 62 years of following Rovers I’m now doubting, for the first time ever, if I’ve done the right thing in renewing my season ticket? I’ve been through some crap over the years but not trying is the worst thing to endure. Today was amongst the worst of that. Hopefully at least some of them turn up Monday as I’m doing “Director for a day”. Feels like I’ve wasted my money at this point - booked before New Year (in hope).
Well, everything about supporting Rovers is in hope isn’t it! UTG!

All starts from the top...the club is run poorly, not very ambitious with any of its plans, they can say we are aiming for championship but the stadium plans will prove that they are not serious enough. Nothing about Bristol Rovers really blows me away and gets me really thinking we are going places.

It's no wonder the playing side of things never goes anywhere, I sit in the East stand with my old man and the club is supported mostly on a Saturday with people who just seem happy to be out of the house for 2 hours. It's also quiet and hardly very inspiring. Why don't we were want more as Bristol Rovers supporters, I genuinely think people have accepted we have historically always been average and shouldn't expect anything else.

Those of us who did back in 2001 were shot down by the masses. I’ll never forget people clapping the team off as we went down to the 4th tier for the first time in the clubs history.

How do we demand more out of interest? I can't see we can force owners to spend £m's more than they plan spending.

Matt Taylor should get some of the blame but I think it's unfair to leave all the criticism on him.
So many players out of contract it's unprecedented. He's came in half way in the season (ish) he did not sign these players.
I won't be judging him until Christmas
It's no different when we got relegated with Barton and with Garner and Tisdale players in my opinion
He couldn't get a tune out of them because they were terrible and not interested

The interviewer is just taking the water now.”Do you think we have to go more defensive?” Feck me just look at the stats man if you didn’t notice what occurred on the pitch.

But my worry is how badly his Rotherham Utd team has performed this season. His squad basically and he spent money in the summer. Bottom by 19 points. I wonder if he can manage a squad to mount a challenge in League 1.
