Are we allowed to recall and play him at this stage of the season?? That's appaling defending. Tidy finish though! I hope the lad becomes the next Jed Ward and breaks into the first team.

Yes he can can be recalled at anytime, at the end of the day he is a Signed Rovers player so as long as Oxford are okay with it is not a problem and Seeing they have been relegated then i cant see it being one. I heard that Oxford City's Goalkeeper is on loan from Wigan, he is not being recalled but apparently playing the last game of the season as National league finishes a week earlier! Wigan's last game happens to be Us at Wigan! The thing is with Greenslade is he is quick, and would play well of Martin and is also very creative so would cause different problems. It would be worth a look as we never know what we have got until to give him a chance at this level. The reason in Putting Greenslade in that Oxford team was to see if he could cope Physically. The Defender from the Clip is on loan to Barnet from Leyton Orient and has played over 150 league games. The Goalkeeper is Tottenham's under 21 Goal keeper so he can mix it against good players. I think if Taylor has an idea that a couple of players wont be there next season then it wouldn't harm playing him and seeing what he has got! Can it be any worse? Do you think he would be able to run the channels and create for the midfield streaming forward? It looks like MT likes the 1 up top approach of modern football. If we dink balls over midfield for him to run onto (like we did with Azza) would he be useful? Yeah, I have seen him do it and is Something the Oxford Manager wants him to do. Unfortunately they aren't that good at hitting the Channels! lol

But if we don't score / cant score goals under the current squad then we are headed that way anyway.

Not only does this article make worrying reading regarding MT it also highlights a lot of what is wrong with our squad!

MT’s comment in his post match about ‘if I was a Rovers fan, I’d be annoyed too’. Pretty stark. For all the previous regimes who haven’t hit the high notes, you had a sense they were driving the club through a passion and a desire to win as a ‘fan’, even a paid one. I don’t see that in Taylor whatsoever. The closest I can liken it to as Garner, I’m sorry to say.

Replace MT with JB. Replace Rotherham with Bristol Rovers Replace LC with MT It seems very familiar.

Taylor seems like a really nice bloke and would always find employment in football I'm sure BUT Seems like the pressure will be getting very close to tipping point. Whatever the feeling about this squad being over hyped early on, leaving aside the lack of a striker, these are very capable players. Barton lost his job, on the football side as the team was performing worse than the sum of their parts. This is now the case with MT He could assemble his own team next year and we could do ok but management is about more than that. The greats in management, manage change, crisis and the unforseen. Feels like we're a couple of games away from a George Friend Caretaker situation Nonsense. Nobody but for a few posters on here think we’re anywhere near a ‘tipping point’. The vast majority of the fan base realise this isn’t his squad and he needs the summer to change things. Still think it's nonsense?

I think last night sent most people over the edge, especially with there seemingly being no end in sight to the lack of tactics and goals. That atmosphere was the most poisonous I have known since Buckle.

When you hear people in the pubs and ground before the game its like trying to find a needle in a haystack in support of him or his football style. After last night that needle is well and truly buried.

First time I've been in a while last night so thought I'd check out the South stand. What hit me generally is how bad a club we are at the moment. It's like we are a zombie team. It's like the soul has been sucked out of the club. The south stand is nice but the finishing touches seam really cheap, i mean can we not fork out for a proper partition rather than some black cloth held together with some zip ties. The whole atmosphere seemed so dead. There was no real pre-match build up, no motivation or optimism. The Reading fans put us to shame. Having said that though it's understandable given the football that was served up. I wouldn't say our team is dire, I think individually we have good players but we are just so inefective, so many mistakes, so sloppy. We desperately need a decent striker. We need a team that are up for the game. The only player that really stood out was Thomas but he can't do it all on his own. As for Taylor it's hard to know what to say. We are worse than we were under Barton and he got sacked. We haven't scored a goal in seven games. This is worse than Garner. I don't like managers being sacked but can he really turn it around. I don't think we are going to attract any much better playes than we have. Do we really want to trust taylor to spend our budget for next season. The club needs some life putting back into it and that lies with the very top. Let's have some leadership and get the club going. Otherwise we will be back in our League 2 cycle again. All pretty depressing stuff.

Yes, some will fail, but as we can see on the pitch at the moment so do many older players who cost a lot more... [edit] also Harvey Greenslade has two goals in ten starts for Oxford City....one goal every five games....better than our whole starting XI at the moment...

South stand so much better than the tent but a bit lacking overall.Doubt if I'll go Sat now as my enthusiasm has totally disappeared. We are where we are sadly which is in a very bad place. When do the extensions etc to the Quarters begin? Will it be this summer?Looking for something positive but won't hold my breath.
