I think it will take a couple of windows & a set of patio doors.

0 goals in 5 games but apparently moving in the right direction. We are being conned it’s a disgrace 1 up front against the pits of a team at home Generally 1 up front doesn't mean you score less. When we have the ball, it's supposed to be 3 up front. Seeing as though we have hardly any strikers, it's not surprising we set up like this🤣

Give it a rest. Was it great today, no, but we created at least 4 good chances and most would have put money on Martin scoring one of his. Taylor cant put the ball in the net for them. We need some pace in the team. Thomas energy was noticeable when he game on and we need more of that added to the squad in the summer Out of curiosity did you go to game day 1 v Pompey? We showed fight passion passed it well and prob deserved to win (v the top team this season away from home) that today was night and day compared to that against an extremely poor side. Taylor mentioned again today that it’s a step forward but I just can’t see it. Also the flocks of fans returning now joey is gone? Was that a myth? Quietest I’ve heard the mem today. Funny enough aforce I was stood there today watching and thought exactly the same re Pompey away first game. I walked away from fratton park that day and thought bloody hell we've actually got a really good side here imagine when they start to gel. The football was fantastic to watch , we looked dangerous and solid at the same time. This is pretty dire at the minute. I still maintain we shouldnt have sacked Barton when we did. Despite the Barton out brigade vociferously saying otherwise the football the excitement the atmosphere was all so much better under Barton. It's done now and as awful to watch as this is at the minute Taylor has to be given a summer window. My worry is I don't think it's going to get much better to be honest and il be happy to scrape 50 points again come may 2025.

True, but we it's hard to get a striker in that market. We tried, but refused to over pay and wrote of the remainder of the season.

I can't recall we were ever linked with one striker. It's typical Rovers over the years, sell our best striker for decent money and then wonder why we can't score, which is hardly MT's fault.

MT will have the window and to be fair, so he should. I supported JB when we were relegated, so wouldn't be hypocritical and not do the same now.
Got to give MT a chance to get his own players in.
I am just hoping he comes back a bit more upbeat and optimistic, with a bit of personality.

Out of curiosity did you go on Boxing Day when we actually beat Portsmouth? Or go to Bolton? Maybe Exeter or Orient? This is just selective memory. Barton really was no better than Taylor, arguably worse at times. He just talked a very good game, yet somehow many people still think he is the messiah. A bit like how lots of Tories still pine for Johnson. Yes it was quiet today, but is that not down to us to stop moaning and actually get behind the team? The season is toast, it pretty much has been since Norwich’s third goal in the cup replay, which doesn’t help, but the atmosphere is as bad as the last days of Eastville. I thought Taylor was spot on in his comments after the game. A lot of decent performances but no cutting edge. And that is down to the recruitment last summer, especially the JCH shambles. We need to get behind Taylor, I called out someone as I was leaving the West Enclosure today. If people can’t do that, maybe have a few games away for your own health?

Would have liked to of seen some attacking intent signed. Marin rolling around anytime anyone got near him today was embarrassing.

Amazing how impatient football fans/the population is. We are mid table league one, is it really that uncomfortable? A few games ago we won 3/4, and now after a handful of games it’s turf the manager out and start again.. really?
I have my own doubts about the manager, but the modern day sacking culture has gone too far. Give the man a proper summer window and a fair chance. I get people are upset about Barton, but he made his position untenable himself with his off field antics, so those beds have to be made and led in.

Are we missing Aaron Collins? I know he had gone of the boil but he is still top of our assists chart 📈 and contributed to a more exciting style of play. Scored a hatrick for Bolton today. God help us next week!

We are being conned it’s a disgrace 1 up front against the pits of a team at home With all due respect, the ‘one up front’ bit is tosh. We play 4-2-3-1/4-3-3, the same system that probably 80% or more of teams play these days. Presumably it’s a “disgrace” when Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City play 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 every week? Or Ipswich who are the top scorers in the Championship & played that formation today? Or Peterborough who are the top scorers in L1 and played that formation today?

We were linked with the two from Reading and apparently bid for Ennis on deadline day. I'm not sure how hard we tried. It seemed like we were in for a striker, but only if it was a good deal. I agree, it's not Taylor's fault. We went in for JCH in the summer window, but somehow we finished the season with only 2 strikers. 1 of them hardly ever scores!

Are we missing Aaron Collins? I know he had gone of the boil but he is still top of our assists chart 📈 and contributed to a more exciting style of play. Scored a hatrick for Bolton today. God help us next week! 100% we are. We play Bolton next week and who will the whole defence have an eye on? Aaron Collins. Why? Because he scores goals, he creates goals, he drifts into areas to pick the ball up and run at defenders, he has pace, skill and it will likely take 2 defenders to mark him out of the game. What Aaron Collins does for a team is also create the space for others and bring them into play. Hes almost as much as a threat by being a distraction as he is being in the penalty box. It was 100% the right decision to sell Azza but we needed to replace him straight away in Jan to keep the season alive as we didn't have enough in the team without him. The new owners weren't wiling to spend and here we are, exactly happening what I thought would happen. Facts are that JB and his crew blew the best budget we had in years on players that were too old, not fit enough to play a full season or not good enough. The real problem for the fanbase is that some fell hook, line and sinker for the BS and bluster that JB used to spout about how good he was tactically and how good we were as a team that he made people believe we were better than what we actually are. MT is just giving everyone a massive reality check that did fall under the Scouse spell and showing everyone this team is a just a mid table squad and there components in it that really aren't good enough to be where we want or where we all think we should be.
