Surely Taylor's that he just needs a Craig type player alongside him? No idea what we do with Wilson, as I can't see clubs will be lining up to take him off our hands. Baffling how he was part of Plymouth's promotion team last term. But Argyle realised as soon as they had promotion that he wouldn’t be part of their Championship squad. They knew his limitations and that age had caught up with him. Sadly with us he’s been injured, which at his age, affects him more and that’s led to him being not so good. And perhaps he’s realised that hence the frustration which affects his attitude. Who knows, but whatever it is he’s not been as good as he was with Argyle. Sadly. UTG! Talking of Muff sacked manager after 12 weeks . I expect its already been mentioned on forum. www.itv.com/news/westcountry/2024-04-02/plymouth-argyle-sack-ian-foster-as-head-coach-after-just-11-league-matches

Wilson played in a back 3 with Dan Scarr and Macauley Gillesphy with Joe Edwards who acted as either a full back or centre back with him, which in turn had so much pace with Muamba, Azaz, Whittaker, Ennis throughout that season that the defence really had it easy. We have nowhere near that sort of pace in our side so of course we will be overloaded and Wilson just can't cope with the rigours that brings. As you say, he was never going to cope in the champ.

The Barton fan boys turning on Taylor is no surprise. Those with common sense realise he needs a full window to undo all of the horrific actions taken by JB on this club - bye-bye to the Liverpool mafia and the defined benefit playing pension scheme, and in with young and hungry players with ambition who can be arsed to play for the club. Once we've ripped out the final dross of the racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, wife-beater thugs' signings we should be in a place where we can finally move forward. I’m guessing you don’t have the 100% belief in him you once had then 😂

For me a quality striker and commanding centre half should be the first priorities for any funds (fees and wages). Surely Taylor's that he just needs a Craig type player alongside him? No idea what we do with Wilson, as I can't see clubs will be lining up to take him off our hands. Baffling how he was part of Plymouth's promotion team last term. Im hoping Plymouth get relegated so maybe if they were back in league one they may take him back off our hands given the success he had there last season. Cant see anyone else wanting him.

Even Monk seems to getting a tune out of Cambridge within a month with the same players he inherited, and he had no window at all. How has Taylor made us worse?

Hmm, Monk came in on 4th March and has had 5 games in charge. In those 5 games their results were: 1-1 Northampton (D) 0-6 Lincoln (L) 0-4 Reading (L) 2-0 Barnsley (W) 3-1 Wigan (W) Goal Difference: -6 Taylor's first 5 games were: 1-1 Cheltenham (D) 4-2 Crewe (W) 2-1 Bolton (W) 1-3 Blackpool (L) 2-1 Pompey (W) Goal Difference: +2 Even if you were to take Crewe out of there as its a cup game, the next game was a 2-1 Win Vs Charlton. I'm not delighted with how Taylor has started, but why let facts get in the way of a selective memory to beat Taylor even more?

Personally I didn't see a lot of Taylor's style for the first 2 or 3 games, thought he was getting a feel for what he had. The timing of Collins departure wasn't helpful. Even in poor form he was providing assists and worrying defenders. I'm not sure on Taylor but a new striker must coincide with a more attacking style.

Didn't Taylor inherit a team in reasonable form under AM, it looks when he tried to impose his own ideas on the team it started to go Pete Tong?

I'd say that MT has carried on in the same way as JB and AM left us; inconsistent, with a leaky defence and nothing much wide or up top. Thing is, MT isn't going to be able to fix everything in one window and also the sick notes have already played their 15-20 games that they'll manage a season and he's had to cope with plugging that gap too. Oh and he's lost Aaron Collins. How anyone is surprised by what's unfolding is beyond me, the writing was on the wall in Jan and there isn't much MT will do with this bunch which is the exact reason why the board sacked JB. He wasted a fortune on players that weren't going to get us promoted.

It was nice whilst it lasted but eventually it became clear it wasn’t going to continue beyond the easier fixtures.

It's pretty clear MT's lost the changing room as all the players turned up yesterday as it was a home game. The only hope is that when he gets in his own players next season they'll all play for him.

I’m guessing you don’t have the 100% belief in him you once had then 😂 I've never had 100% belief in him - stop chatting sh*te; historically I've probably been his most vocal "hater"! I gave him credit where credit was due following promotion. In hindsight that was a mistake, and I got carried away after the signing of a player who was Premiership standard. Had it not been for the Geordie Maradona, we'd still be in L2 - that is a fact. Excluding that momentary lapse of sense, in the midst of utter euphoria following a shock 7-0 win, I've been thoroughly consistent in my assessment of him as a complete and utter c unt.

You specifically said on 13th May 2022, in a post you've deleted but which was quoted: "You won't catch me calling for your head next season - you have my full 100% belief in you now." No need to tell people they are chatting sh*te when they actually aren't. An apology for getting him right, then wrong, then right again is fine. We all make mistakes. No need to deny what you said. It was an error of judgement and no more. But don't pretend it didn't happen.

We were lower in the league before he joined than we are now. Barton would have taken us down this season I reckon. I’m not saying Taylor will get us in the top 6 he might not be the answer I don’t know , nobody does but he needs a summer window and a run of games into next season before we can really judge him in my opinion. When Barton was sacked I’d have been happy with mid table and I think that’s where we’ll finish. His one signing looks a very good player with bags of potential , when another 10 or so leave in the summer and he brings a load in n then we’ll really see what he’s about. Patience is key.

Unless the new co-owners son is working off a different hymn sheet to his dad then they have no intention of us making the top 6 until the Mem is redeveloped, by then MT will probably be long gone.
