When Coughlan left and we went into free fall after the appointment of Garner - we were told to give him chance to rebuild with a new philosophy in the summer. Remind me, did that go well???

It's all well and good calling for Taylor to go, but does anyone trust the people in charge to find a replacement? It took them 2 months to get Taylor in didn't it? I'm not sure I'd trust them to run down the shops for a bag of crisps. & it took them that long because they had exhausted all avenues and realised that had absolutely no idea what they wanted, or what they were doing. Taylor getting sacked by Rotherham, in many ways, actually really helped them out and gave them an option. He in no way fitted the squad that was in place however. Expensive mistake

Well thought I'd go along tonight as I don't get much chance to at the moment with two young kids and wish I hadn't.
The ground was absolutely dead. No queues for the bar. Acres of space in the stands. Whatever the attendance figure given was you could knock 2k off that as season ticket holders clearly aren't going.
Terrible starting lineup. Brown as a lone striker was never going to work. Too many midfielders but we had no outlet at all. Slightly better second half with the triple sub but the damage was already done. Taylor should have had the balls to make the changes after half an hour.
The squad is so imbalanced no wonder certain players don't seem to give a sh** as there's little jeopardy of getting dropped. We've got an abundance of midfielders yet we've got one left back. At centre half we're playing Connolly who looks way out of his depth at L1. And what happened to the days when squads had four strikers? Martin's 35 so clearly can't do 90 mins Sat/Tue yet with Marquis not in the squad we've got nothing else.
I was "Taylor in" and give him a window but I can see us taking this form into next season, sacking him after 6 games and then bringing in a new man who once again can't get his own players.

The reaction afterwards told a big story for me that was as toxic as I can ever remember and it was all directed at the manager. That first half performance was as bad as it gets, Brown as the lone striker was never going to work. Really felt for a young back 4 who saw the ball constantly coming back at them. Better 2nd half but it was a low bar. I'm really not sure where we go from here logic tells me we can't keep sacking managers but do we trust Taylor with a summer window if we do we simply have to start next season well otherwise he's on borrowed time

The Al Saeeds have come in and sucked any life out of the club at an impressive rate. Season has been a disaster, paying JB off until 2025 and now have MT who has a squad playing like they are a pub side with zero confidence. It's a shambles. Couldn’t agree more an absolute shambles. They need to get rid of Taylor now . We are a L2 at best and lucky to hang onto a L1 place . I don’t really like Barton but his word ring true.

I actually thought MT was a sensible appointment after the nonsense going on with Barton's mouth. I think the first mistake was the January window and even failing to sign a couple of loan strikers was rather naive. I never expected what has panned out and can only assume the players have given up and/or don't understand what the manager is asking of them. I understand from Barton's twitter comments he is still talking to at least 8 players/staff at the club and that is not healthy. There needs to be a frank discussion between the owners and MT in the morning and find out what exactly is going on behind the scenes. The owners need to decide whether this is an incompetent manager or players effectively refusing to play to their ability. I wonder if Barton has put a massive bet on us not scoring and bribed those he is in contact with accordingly with the winnings... a million to one they said...

If Taylor stays I reckon 90% of this squad needs to go. It's obvious they aren't/won't play for him. We have to get rid of them all or get rid of him. It's Penny all over again. Back Taylor and clear out the bad apples.

MT got the starting line up totally wrong, as nobody in their right mind would think that Brown and McCormick would make a good strike force, particularly when we were desperate for a goal. If MT makes it until Saturday and we then lose again you really have to wonder where our next point is coming from this season.

Ok wasn’t trying to go down a JB related route but remember we had a manager who couldn’t get a performance out of a group who showed promise, spent the summer ripping it all up to start again and lumbering us with a squad that nobody could get results from, saw us relegated and took a couple of years to wait out the contracts of players nobody wanted

Agree, if we are going to have a complete reset this summer I’d rather it not be with a manager who has proved he has a total inability to get any effort or cohesion out of the players he inherited. A complete reset is needed INCLUDING the manager.

I just want the season to be over tbh. I genuinely don't think it makes any difference who's in charge for the final games.
Noone cares at the moment, on the pitch or in the stands. Teams with something to play for will keep grinding results against us. Bring on the summer and a refresh. Everyone needs a break, me very much included.

The problem now is do you trust MT with the playing budget for next season? Although given the shambles Rovers have now become GF will be still signing "footballers" when MT will really want long ball merchants signed.
