If Taylor stays I reckon 90% of this squad needs to go. It's obvious they aren't/won't play for him. We have to get rid of them all or get rid of him. It's Penny all over again. Back Taylor and clear out the bad apples. it's not bad apples.its the guy who has made them bad. get rid Maybe. I still maintain that half way into a season, good professionals don't just turn this bad. It's evident they are not playing for Taylor. If we let them get a manager sacked (ala Penny) then that's a very dangerous president to set.

Tonight clearly showed the Manager has not got a clue! Totally the wrong set up and he the manager is given detailed reports on how Reading play and set up. True he was given a long contract, but no way will we have to pay that up, a year at the most is what he will get. Get rid now, use the back room staff for the rest of the season and then bring in a new Manager beginning of May. Matt Taylor has failed without any doubt, be surprised if he does not get the chop tonight!

Agree, if we are going to have a complete reset this summer I’d rather it not be with a manager who has proved he has a total inability to get any effort or cohesion out of the players he inherited. A complete reset is needed INCLUDING the manager. This could have been copy and pasted from April prior to 2 of our latest 3 promotion seasons to be fair. At least DC and JB had some success in the past, MT flopped at Rotherham and only managed Exeter for 11 games in L1.

Anyone know any good jokes? A family is driving behind a bin lorry when a dildo flies out and thumps against the windshield. Embarrassed and trying to spare her young son's innocence, the mother turns around and says, "Don't worry, dear. That was just an insect." "Wow," the boy replies. "I'm surprised it could get off the ground with a cock like that!" Nervous bank robber pulls out his gun and shouts, " All right you motherstickers, this is a f**k up."

Oh right so Darrell Clarke with just 8 games to go and Barton with a little bit longer is the same as a guy who has had half a season and turned us into a team which is not only incapable of winning it’s incapable of scoring. This has more of a Ben Garner feel about it than a Clarke or Barton.

How do you know that's the case? I doubt they'll be happy to throw their £m's down the drain if we get relegated under MT next season?

Was asked the question did you get your tactics wrong in the first half and he didn’t have the guts to admit he got it wrong and started drawling on about pace of the game etc etc etc. Get rid now, I wouldn’t let him buy an ice cream in the Summer let alone let him loose with the budget for next season.

True , but and pains me to say it but JB got a better tune out of them , not to mention Mangan who I quite liked. Yeah, I thought Mangan did more than enough to have been given the job to be honest. I think hindsight AM til end of the season then reassessed it. Keeping MT for the summer is a massive risk, not only of doing poorly but also attendances falling through the floor. If there was another 4 games this season we would certainly be relegated. There’s no fight in us at all

Until tonight I was of the view that MT at least needs a transfer window to shape ‘his’ team. We huffed and puffed on Sat and gave it a go and then to change a solid enough back 3 and put LM up with JB. It does seem that he’s lost the player and the fan base. I agree with the comments about atmosphere. Everyone around me in the Thatcher’s is resigned to losing and being served a sort of hurried, panicky dross at best. There’s no shape, no system, no passion, no connection with fans. I’ve been going for 25 years and haven’t heard that sort of reception post defeat for a Gas manager before. Even allowing for passions running high, it’s indicative of a switch of mood. I think he regrettably needs to go. If finance is the only thing preventing a sacking, then we’re screwed. The board have a decision to make. It might be that Cheltenham is ‘it’, i.e lose there and MT is gone.
