Can’t get much worse, can it? Cant afford to sack him whilst still paying Joey, MT is on a huge contract. Expensive and ageing squad whose legs couldn’t handle the winter months (some of us did flag this last summer but got shot down by the ‘best squad ever’ brigade) Need ANOTHER huge rebuild of 12+ players in over the summer Buckle up all, we are in for a bumpy ride ! I think he’s on thin ice now , when we inevitably lose on Saturday he’s gone, totally unacceptable this run of results and to not score a single goal in 7 games is surely enough for any manager to lose their job , The players aren’t playing for him and are also to blame. Absolute joke.

I recall a game where Craig Levein, Scotland manager played an away game against the Czech Rep with no strikers on the pitch. He was ridiculed then and for some time afterwards. Taylor may well regret his team selection tonight as his final despairing act as Rovers manager.
I said a week ago he was reaching tipping point and I think he may well be just beyond it now. Hopefully the club can find a way for him to make a dignified exit as he seems to be a nice bloke

That was terrible tonight. First time in 62 years supporting I started to leave before the end. Got as far as the corner and stood watching till their final free kick and actually turned to leave. The full time whistle went. Relief.
I don’t know what’s wrong but it’s not my job to. On the other hand Matt Taylor is being paid to know ……
On the other hand Joe Barton is still being paid ….. (and apparently still talking to many of the team? Is there a connection?)

It's hard to understand how it can get this bad. Even if players are out of contract and leaving at season's end it does them no favours at all to be linked with this absolute shower of a run of form. Who would want to offer a contract to a player who was part of this? Surely you'd want to play well and show any potential new employer you were worth employing?? Baffling.
And from the manager's perspective I think we all understand that some players were very much Joey's players. But the manager's job is to deal with this stuff and get the players to perform at or near their best. We are spiraling so quickly out of control you simply have to question his management skills. What happens when one of 'his players' that he brings in gets the hump at some point next season - does he have the skills to deal with that? Hard to imagine based on his work to date.
It's sickening to throw good money after bad but surely he has to go. I think the fans would have accepted some bad results but we are literally spiraling. Don't want to even think about the potential Matty Taylor scenario...
