He has to go, last night confirmed it for me. Shocking lineup and tactics. It seems the players wanted Mangan and played for him. Player power not to be underestimated. They played for Taylor initially to get us safe. It seems now they are proving a point to the hierarchy by downing tools for false promises maybe? I don't like to see Taylor being treated like this but feel he is now damaged goods and a victim of the massive black cloud JB left over the club following his sacking. Sad times but a complete clear out and reset required.

If,and I know its a massive if,he actually stays, builds a promotion winning team, then some people will be eating a massive portion of humble pie. Unfortunately either he's not got it,or the players don't care,I'm not sure which one it is at the moment, but I don't think we can afford to sack him already.

If we didn't already have Barton on the payroll, I'd say yeah get rid, but can we really afford to have all these people picking up a wage for doing nothing? Bizarre tactics apart, it's the players who have downed tools & the scouse mafia need to be shipped out along with the malign, cigar stubbing influence of the Xhibitionist!
Cut out the cancer over the summer. Let MT & GF do their best & see where we are in October. It's a keep but only a marginal one for me.

I think I need to change my vote to undecided again.

Sad times but a complete clear out and reset required. Thing is, if we're agreed this is the players throwing their toys out the pram, they HAVE to leave regardless. The good news is, the bulk can be released this summer. So the fact they aren't playing for him is actually irrelevant as: - If that's the case, they'll be gone soon anyway - For any that aren't, if that's the type of player they are, we need to do all we can to get rid as that cannot be accepted So either way, we need the players gone if that's what's really going on. The other risk is that MT will know this. Bringing in a new man now will no doubt lead to him having to make his "own assessment", no doubt resulting in a lot of the dross and bad apples remaining, which could well put us in a worse position.

You can sense whether someone is the right person for the job based on the general feeling around the place.
JB for all his (many) flaws created a positive feeling around the club fanbase and the players played good football under him, although sometimes lacking in results.
Since Matt Taylor came in I know I have been very meh about Rovers, and clearly a lot of others are the same as it appears the players are also.
I think a good manager comes in, gets the players on side and all fighting for the shirt. This team were very capable and shown it during early spells of the season. Inevitably, injuries and all that have played a part but I just don't feel it. Ideally, he goes and someone comes in with a bit about them.
Managers aside, it must be said that that good feeling was also a lot to do with Wael, and the change to the new Board / Owners have undoubtedly been a part of the worsening morale. Everything plays a part.

Everything plays a part. This simply is not true. It's a myth. For every fan that worshipped the ground he walked on, there was another throwing up at the thought of this wife-beater being manager of this football club. We also didn't play good football. That is an opinion (and in my opinion a myth). We played Garner-ball. Pointless possession based football, in our own half that offered nothing in real-terms. Another myth is how capable this team are/were. JB left with the team below where we are in the league now! He was a snake-oil salesman and had large sections of the fanbase completely hypnotised with his BS.

He has to go I'm afraid. Last night was his 'Mark McGhee Garry Kenneth up front' moment for me. He has patently lost, if he ever had, any ability to motivate and enthuse the players or the supporters. He is devoid of ideas and having had a window to bring in new blood he still can't motivate his own recruits it seems. If, as we are effectively safe, we were losing but he was trying out new (sensible) formations and tactics, and blooding youngsters then I would be comfortable. Sadly he isn't, he clearly has no idea and the club is just drifting aimlessly. He must go now so that he and his lack of ideas and motivational ability don't drift through the summer resulting in a relegation battle from day 1 next season.

I voted Yes Seen enough to realise this isn't working out with MT it's better to sack him now than take a chance on him next season and he's still the same. The big question if he goes who do you bring in to replace him ? Top of my list would be Paul Hurst Chesterfield, Kevin Maher Southend maybe possibly look at Peter Wild Barrow, and I wouldn't be opposed to given Coughlan another go either
When the fans boo a team off that in itself should speak volumes

It seems Bristol Rovers is a managerial graveyard where your career ends. Tisdale , Garner , Barton …..Taylor ? Who’d want the poisoned chalice ? 😂

Everything plays a part. Joe was a great salesman, we ll have our day in the sun blah blah blah, without the Geordie Maradonna we would still be in league 2. Look at our form last year under Joe we were again struggling, he spent decent money on Beefy and Luke Mc neither have worked out well. He had great charisma and at first I enjoyed listening to him, Matt is a typical northerner not flash, not all about me, and can t see allegations about him asking the chef to do 100 keepy uppies! I believe he will turn this around, once the players derailing the rest have been shipped out. Allegedly we were looking at Smith and knibbs in January window, shows we were looking at upgrades. Watford got rid of Rob Edwards too early, that ain t looking like a wise decision now.

Thanks, it didn’t seem like that many 🤔💙 Likely includes ST holders who have already paid but have given up attending so they can watch some paint dry instead.

If crowds continue to drop and season ticket sales are low (no idea what we've sold so far), I don't see what other option there is.

Hopefully a number of new faces to watch in pre-season and we'll have something to get excited about.
