Just gone back on Bartons twitter for 24 hours - Wow its horrible.
I have found a few attacks on Matt Taylor including a picture of Lister from Red Dwarf - Clearly doesn't like him All sort of attacks on anyone horrible to be honest.
Typical now cant find the other bit on him being in contact with some of the squad - Sorry!

Typical now cant find the other bit on him being in contact with some of the squad - Sorry! Ironic given that Lister was a Scouser. Fwiw I don't know either way, it depends on whether MT has lost the dressing room or not. If so and it's possible for him to regain it, then I'd say stay. We can't keep having these mass clear outs, especially as it's taken a while to get his assistants in place.

Hang on?
I thought talking about sacking of a club employee was an abomination, completely unethical and morally obtuse!?
As per other threads on this matter, I shall remain completely neutral and sit on the fence!
Some double standards here....

GASGOV. Poll..
Based on 200 votes .
30% in favour of keeping him. 60% think he should go 10% undecided.
Currently 30% of Gashead think he should stay. The Poll could change in the last 4 games and will be updated on % format after 300 votes. Margin of error 3-5%.

Everything’s going to be “ a little bit more settled next season” says MT. So that’s alright then, no matter what happens in the next four games!

I’m backing Matt Taylor. In one sense it’s a shame mr Barton isn’t still in charge to have accountability for the group he assembled. We need to stay calm, a root and branch upheaval must’ve been discussed when interviewing new manager candidates, surely?
When I saw the team sheet for Tuesdays nights game I thought it looked like the team I would have picked because all the players were ours, time to shine and all that, and I would continue in that vein in the unique situation we have of no meaningful pressure on the results. Prove you want be here guys and I think there is a decent skeleton to flesh out into a squad for next season and beyond.
Painful process though but we are essentially picking up the pieces after a failed cult has been overthrown.

He need a target . Is it 3 from 12 or 6 from 12?. This could shift opinion either way. If he's determined and goes on a good run the opinions could swing to 50-50% potentially. If he shows a ' medittarian ' way of thinking fans might not like it. His polling could be below 10%. Everyone should be taking the next 4 games seriously. This is MT test now!.

Exactly this, we should be beating Cheltenham on Saturday and Cambridge at home Tuesday. Quite obviously Peterborough at home and Wigan away could be more difficult. It’s got to be six points for me , with vastly improved performances all round. It’s no secret I’m in the MT out camp, two decent wins and fighting performances against the other two, might well swing me the other way. However I very much doubt that will be the case.

This is a good point. Many would like him to be sacked because on current form/performances we are in free fall. However, if over the next month performances and results improve off course many would think again. Let’s hope for Matt’s sake and our own clubs sake that we see huge improvement over the next half a dozen games and we go into the close season reassured we have a good manager. 👍🏾

The problem is if players have downed tools how is MT supposed to get to play in any of the remaining matches?
It would be interesting to hear GF's view, have the players actually downed or is it just down to power management by MT, I assume he should know given he's been in the game long enough?

He did say that he had 8 witnesses to what happened with the Keepyups, maybe that's what you were thinking of. With regards to JB influencing players, I'd be surprised if any of them would jepordise their chances of getting another contract (here or elsewhere), because some bloke who will never get another job iin football has asked them to stop trying.

Did Evans just lose his head against Reading or was he trying to get a red card and 3 game ban? He lost his head, frustration because things weren't going well I presume.

I have voted unsure as I have no idea what players MT will be targeting in the summer. The main reason I will still give him a chance is because the squad we have now was built to play a certain style of football and under JB when it clicked we looked really good just it wasn't often enough but you could see what he was trying to do. When MT took over he didn't change things too much but it seems since January he has attempted to change things a little bit more towards what he wants but he hasn't got the players here that can play that way and losing Collins really didn't help his cause and we haven't replaced him. Tuesday team selection was head scratching especially as we hadn't scored in 6 and decided to play without a recognised striker but on reflection it looks like he was experimenting and giving fringe players a chance to shine. It massively backfired but I can understand what he was trying to do I'm just not sure it was the right time to do it with our current form but then again when is the right time?

I wonder whether the last few weeks of the season, with nothing at stake, evokes a similar mindset to when the exams are over at school, and you just go through the motions until the end of term (whether consciously or unconsciously).

Agree with you pretty much entirely. I was underwhelmed with his appointment and it's not going well, but we can't really sack him now. So give him his chance and let's see what he does. I would like him to succeed for all our sakes, but I'm not optimistic.

Absolutely under normal circumstances, completely agree. However, you could link the players to their agent to Jennings to Barton. Its a bit incestuous.
