So after his wonderful speech a couple of months ago where is the owner to reassure fans as to what is happening with the football club? Where does he think we are in relation to his target of Championship in three years? All he has shown IMO is a total lack of knowledge of the game of football . The gaps on the terracing are the visible evidence on what has been and is a total disaster. Is there a team in this division or in fact the entire football league who we could beat or at least score against at the present time? I honestly cannot see any evidence that we will pick up another point this season. The season began with optimism- like or dislike Joey Barton there was a feeling around the fans that this would be our season- a club that was going somewhere. A £1m offer for JCH and that transfer deadline for me was the beginning of the end- a cock up of mighty proportions that began the slippery slope that these owners have brought to my club. We never really heard what JB thought of that decision but looking back I see it as the beginning of the end for JB. To me it was the move that would change the narrow defeats to narrow victories- a player who didnt need others to create goals for him. It was an almost unheard of move for our club-paying out a new transfer record on a player who was the best in the division at what he did-score goals and leading the frontline. Instead we lost one striker and got nobody. We made ourselves a laughing stock and I think at that stage it was the start of players starting to doubt what they had signed into. The decline in AC scoring was partly down to him but more to all our hopes of winning matches being on his shoulders and I feel he had made his mind up then that he would be on his way. JCH would have taken that pressure and relished it instead of totally wasting a season of his career. Peterborough yet again taught us a lesson in how to run a successful football club- by replacing their star striker with two new players on the assumption he would go and then stand by that decision. We on the otherhand ended up with nothing. There is little doubt in my mind that JB was angered by that farce but probably if he had said anything he would have been sacked then instead of further down the road. The sacking of JB could have been handled so much better if the owners had somebody in mind for the job- we will never know how much Wael had in this decision- but i feel very little. It was the new owner flexing his muscle but also showing that he had very little knowledge of running a football club. It took him months before his speech and now the repeated silence has seen us on a downward slope that has just kept getting worse. Does the owner even know that the standard of football being produced is dreadful to the eye? A good business man is not necessarily the right option to run a football club. Even a very rich owner is only as good as the amount of money he is prepared to put in to the football club. How much is he putting into the club and how much is being taken oucan't make accusations because we don't really know . We dont know how much is loans and how much money out of the owners pocket. We have to believe what the owners tell us and that is very little and not very often. We look like a ship that is out of control because the only evidence we as football fans have is what we see on the pitch and that at present is a decline of epic proportion. The new stand is the only visible evidence of anything the owners have put in and the numbers in that stand has gone down with the football produced. Now is the time for the leader to come out and lead before he has no one left to lead.

Operationally, the club has been handed over to his son. The dad has very little involvement, same with Wael and TG - the son is calling all of the shots.
Just what I've heard from those in and around the day-to-day.

The owner was there last night , my mate asked him ‘what’s going on with this club , why are we so bad ? ‘ all he replied was , and I quote, ‘next season , next season you’ll see’ Gorringe was with him also but didn’t say anything he just sort of shrugged his shoulders. Not really news and not much to read into but I thought I’d share

The owners leave me feeling very nervous They may not have bad intentions, but the son is learning on the job. The length of time around the Taylor appointment and the stories that subsequently came out regarding Mangan and Robinson (being promised the job) are very worrying. In my opinion they will stick with Taylor, either out of cost, or negligence. We will rebuild a very direct side and be fighting for survival, they will probably pull the trigger around Christmas time, and we will be stuck with a terrible footballing side under long contracts. We will be lucky to keep our L1 status next season.

I don't think he's more or less available than previous owners, it's just the briefings and leaks have stopped. My assumption is we'll hear something in the coming weeks. Probably a bit of "Championship aims" fluff around the East Stand and lots of nonsense that says nothing. Much the same as every bit we've heard out of the club for the last 15 years.

Not really news and not much to read into but I thought I’d share I've suffered watching the dross like everyone else, and I think the owner will have to back Matt financially, or the Mem will be like a graveyard come Christmas, I've paid for next season and the thought of it fills me with apprehension, although if you caught Alex Rodman on Radio he was bigging up George Friend, and saying he was watching loads of games and is a smart operator. Thanks for posting UTG

Hound people at the training ground? Put out videos of him asking questions and being ignored? This is not TMZ. Bristol Post were previously banned from The Quarters, do you not think he's worried about that happening again? If you have suggestions why not contact him on Twitter etc. Just look at the Jamie Hedges interview, he is capable. Mind boggling why so many have it in for him rather than being constructive

Wael has to take some of the blame for this - I have not had a bad word to say about him since he took the club over, but I feel that he’s really sold us down the river (albeit probably inadvertently) by letting this bunch of clowns buy a controlling interest in the club. “The owner’s son is learning on the job” - it’s an EFL League 1 football club, not a Pop-up market stall, for f*ck’s sake! They clearly do not have a clue about football, Rovers or even us. The way this is going I can’t see any other outcome than them selling us off to try to recoup some of their losses in 6-12 months’ time, after they’ve turned our club into a complete basket case. I really hope I’m wrong, but I’ve been supporting Rovers for over 52 years now and I’ve never felt this despondent about the future of the club, even when we went to Twerton and the team were training at Fry’s . . . And if it’s true that the owner’s son reads this and other forums, then I hope he reads all this and decides to act like a grown-up and ASK FOR HELP!!

Gasheads think they're pro-City and anti-Gas, Sh1!heads think they're pro-Gas and anti-City. In reality they are there for clicks. The Jamie Hedges interview was the perfect example of that. Generally Rovers have been covered by rookie journalists starting out in sports journalism and trying to make a name for themselves. There will be positive stories, there will be negative stories, there will be stories effected by lack of access and stories fuelled by leaks and inside information. I think generally Hargreaves does a decent job, he's certainly taken more of an interest in things off the field but, he can only report so much. If there's no access and nothing said then the article has no meat on the bones.

Barton and the club shut him out so why should he have any loyalty. Fair play to him.

Look at the South Stand planning and facilities, Pirates Pot, David Bright, Bristol City hotel on sleeve, alleged unpaid invoices, 'come on Bristol' stickers for children, JCH paperwork, Gambling sponsors cock up...I could go on. Not all the new owner either a lot happened under Wael, however well intentioned he may be. We need capable people in position as the proof really is in the pudding. Whether it's lack of attention to detail or trying to scrimp on wages, whatever has happened it hasn't been good enough. Unfortunately for us as fans we have no say, but we can call a spade a spade. The clubs operates like a soap opera.
