People laughed when I said give MT time and own players. Championship in 3 seasons and I stand by those comments You also posted on last Tuesday's match thread JB's players had downed tools?

Greenslade scored a consolation for oxford city. Give him ago next weekend. Can't be recalled. Even though their season will be over when we play Wigan? Shame

Thought we played some great passes tonight , but for the most part looked like a friendly , Cambridge only turning it on when 1 down.
Taylor will be judged with his players , and I'll go with that , Brown , I've seen enough I'm afraid. Needs to be gone.
What a disruptive crap season , only plus being we will finish higher than Bartons 17th last.
LT very lively , and Martin is a gashead , but we all knew that ..... UTG

Plenty of good approach play tonight but we hardly ever looked like scoring, I'm not sure what the solution is, play two upfront or get a more mobile forward than Martin?

Made hard work of that against a very poor side. Nice to see a referee who forgot to bring his cards to the Mem tonight.

Made hard work of that but a deserved win. Not sure what influence Gary Monk has had on Cambridge because they looked truly awful. LT easily our motm but thought conteh did well when he came on also. Yeah I thought that about Monk , but think like us and Taylor , he's seeing this season out before bringing in his own players in the summer.

We need to keep Luke Thomas and Anthony Evans at all costs!
Build a team around them and the likes of Conteh Martin Rossiter (if fit)
If we could get Aquilera back on loan that would be good!

Job done , another 3 points. Awful attendance tonight, a sign the season has petered out. Not a great game but a welcome victory.
On a side note! Congratulations to Ollie Clarke on his promotion to League One, really happy for the lad 👍🏾

Always nice to see the win but let’s be honest it was not great. Not impressed with Jed ‘ stay on my line like Anssi Ward’ Luca did well , Taylor and Baggott look a good partnership. Evans, Rossiter Thomas all very good. Some of the subs really need to be gone in the summer … contracted or not … JCH scores two goals in a minute tonight … warming up for his return on Saturday. It's a funny game. I thought Ward had a good game, Hoole struggled and Rossiter was desperate for HT after about 15 minutes. I agree about Evans and Thomas who was definitely MOTM

Monk only joined Cambridge less than six weeks ago, so not even a transfer window to help him.

Conteh hasn't quite got that in his game yet. We definitely lost our forward momentum when Rossiter went off. You can also see Rossiter constantly talking, organising and encouraging, his influence in massive.

Bomb the pair of them out 4500 here today total crowd? I reckon it's certainly below 5k. Shocking. Weren’t we selling out for dead rubbers this time last season?

Thought we played well tonight but lacked any real cutting edge.
Thought Sinclair first half was terrific and quite rightly miffed to be taken off for the lightweight and pointless Vaughn
Baggot was quality and I'd like him back next season.
Thomas and Evans fantastic as always.
Final shout out to rossiter. That is a 50% fit player we are seeing there and what a player he is. I don't think he will be able to complete a season which is a such a shame as he is a brilliant footballer. So tenacious in the tackle and is always looking to play forward.
Pray he can finally get over these injuries.

Played pretty well. Cambridge packing the box and everyone behind the ball. Not sure what has happened to Martin's shooting boots. Evans, Sinclair, Rossiter and Vale the pick. Wish the latter could cross! He needs to watch some footage of John Robertson or Beckham. Get a yard, get the ball out of your feet and whip it in !!

Good win tonight against a team who came for a point and were difficult to break down. LT the best player on the pitch. If Evans is staying I hope he gets some intensive coaching in the summer - there is no doubting his skill but his decision making (eg when to shoot) leaves a lot to be desired. Sinclair played well again, as did Rossiter. Satisfactory work tonight! Looking forward to my last match of he season against Posh on Saturday - lets finish the season with 4 straight wins!

Thought we played pretty well 1st half and really should have been in front, we seemed to lose our way for moat of the 2nd half & Cambridge were quite happy to defend deep and grind out a 0-0. Fantastic team goal to win the game, agree with MTs post match keeping that clean sheet means even against a side intent on defending deep you only need one quality moment. Rossiter again showed just how important he is, imo he's the one player I'd be more than happy we take a gamble on.

He went into a strong challenge a minute or two earlier and looked a little bit uncomfortable afterwards. He looked class whilst he was on the pitch, as he did on Saturday.

I think we’re just managing his time to 50 mins right now. Was very similar to Saturday

We weren’t great but deserved the 3 points. Cambridge were awful. Rossiter starts 2 and we win 2, maybe not a coincidence?
