Escobar is something of an enigma. Youth international, Barcelona, huge transfer fee to Almeria. Then……..playing in the third tier?.. Wonder how good Señor Friends spanish is for negotiations 🤔 maybe tell the board he will need a month out in sunny Spain to watch live before deciding, just to make sure 😅

Escobar is something of an enigma. Youth international, Barcelona, huge transfer fee to Almeria. Then……..playing in the third tier?.. Prolific at youth level, the transition to senior stuff is different for everyone and sometimes a bit of patience is needed. He has all the attributes, both technical and physical. 6ft 2in, strong, quick, good with back to goal and hold up play, can run in behind and good finisher off either foot. Leads the line well and his overall game looks suited to playing in this country. He's still young and plenty of improvement still to come if developed correctly. Hit the nail on the head. Big strong lad that can destroy teams at youth level on his own. Unfortunately that means you don’t have to work on your technical ability, or the ability to turn dodge create space. Then have the ability to ping a 20 yarder into the bottom or top bins. Because you hit the mens game and you can’t just plough through players and teams anymore. Provided you have really good players feeding and supporting a no 9, 10 or even an 8, I would take technical and normal built quick with both feet and played mens football from non league all day long. Also look at not how many goals they have scored, although that obviously needs to be around the 20 plus a season. But are they just tap ins, or screamers. That’s down to the annalist guys, but 100% we need to look at step 1-6 young 17 18 20 year olds. Not the guys that are playing in thier late 20s 30s at that level. Some absolute diamonds there with no baggage, just raw pure talent. No Billy bollocks academy wrapped cotton wool stuff.

Could not agree more. They are out there, and for us Toolstation, Southern and Conference South to have a look.

Western League, North West Counties League, or the Essex Senior League where Kone was signed from, it doesn't matter to me. Good players are good players. Plenty of players out there in the non-league pyramid impressing enough to he offered a trial in the summer with an eye on future development side.

Few strikers in league two that have banged them in for mid table teams. Macauley Longstaff would be a dream signing if the rich owners wanna smash the transfer record 😉

You think he’s got no say over his own destiny? Behave - you make it sound like the agent holds a power of attorney 🤣 Would anybody willing move from Bristol to Peterborough? I spent a week there once and that was bad enough. Great beer festival
