Interested in the owners timeline for the East Stand plans. I've no desire to turn a thread political, but the Local Election results will have a significant impact on the make up of the Planning committees. Given the stated timing of East Stand plans being finalised, I hope there is good dialogue with the ward councilors as promised at the time of the South Stand development. Believe that bristol planning is now in special measures so if we are expecting a bumpy ride can apply to central government now.

Smaller developments go via the planning inspectorate under special measures, but you are right that the larger ones will still be under BCC control. As the East Stand development will likely be over 1000 sq m it will be considered as a major planning application.

Not quite right: Only certain types of planning application can be sent directly to the Government's Planning Inspectorate - basically, the mid-range planning applications that are smaller than a large-scale development that is described as a 'major application', but are not so small to be an application by a householder or single business for alterations or extensions, retrospective planning applications or applications to change planning permissions that have already been issued.

But the East stand development will still go to BCC and the planning committee - which will now have a different make up to when the South Stand was approved.

Agreed. It appears to be our ‘ceiling’. Whether Joey, Darrell, Paul or even Ollie , our progress seems to halt around halfway 3rd tier before we fall away again, only Gerry Francis managed what appears to be the impossible. As you say unless we find additional funding our future looks set. As the announcer used to say in the old days, "bring a friend next time". Until we're averaging 12-15,000 not much can change
