Waste of resources, just a carbon copy of Matthew Hall.

Very underwhelming signing if true Think about it Any young goalie is still going to be dreaming of making a good career in the game and want to prove themselves . its why Jed Ward has gone on loan to FGR. The existing youngster has sat on the bench for 12 months and it is time for him to go out into the world and find out if he has what it takes to forge a career. An ageing goalie may be prepared to do it but they are few and far between and will want a decent salary and so you are turrning to youngsters again . The benefit to this kiddie is that he has worked with our goalkeeping coach before and obviously feels that he will benefit from working with him again to the point that he is prepared to be a bench warmer once again. The benefit for Rovers is that obviously our goalkeeping coach feels that he has something or wouldnt be giving him his time and we will have cover. It is never going to be an overwhelming option as far as the fans are concerned - at least until he is called upon to step in and themn we will find out.

Very underwhelming signing if true and seems a bit pointless to me. We really have had an odd approach to GK's over the past couple of seasons.

What I like about our business this summer
1) we got a lot of it done early 2) there’s a clear identity and plan of the type of player we’re bringing in
It’ll take time and patience but at least we can all see where we’re heading. If we can hang around midtable for the first few months whilst people bed in then who knows. Of course not all signings will work out but need to get behind the lads through thick and thin.
Excited for tomorrow with cautious optimism.

Would encourage anyone who hasn't listened to "having a gas" to listen.
Interesting take aways.
- the Gaffer really rates Mola. Believes he'll play higher again.
- Kofi will be part of the first team group.
- Why hes chosen Scott. Personally really happy on this. I remember Taylors first match- definitely got the impression that MT thought we were trying to "manage the ref" to the point of distraction. Regularly encouraging players to focus on the next phase rather than a ref moan.
- Good but honnest words on serval other signings.

Fully appreciate they ARE out of budget and will likely go Championship but interesting the CF market has Kemar Roofe & Aaron Connolly still available on frees. Could end up having an effect on some Champ forwards becoming available for loan to us.

He comes across as honest as says it like it is. He also said the budget is the same and that the money we received for Collins and Evans is being reinvested. He said his tough the league is this season, but we all knew that already!

Agreed, the daft thing about it is if he was spotted by our tea lady making save after save at a preseason friendly between Cheltenham and St. Blazey Gas heads would trust the potential decision more than the judgement of our goalkeeping coach who has worked with the player before.

Predictions for the coming season?
Autos: Birmingham and Bolton Play off winner: Huddersfield Rovers: 11th Relegated: Shrewsbury, Cambridge, Northampton & Crawley
Other: Annoying constant coverage of Wrexham, even tho they finish in the bottom half Stockport to make play offs

I expect Hall, Jevani Brown, Ellison (loan) to leave and left wing back and another striker to come still before end of month!

Sounds to me like we're looking for a backup keeper, possibly a first choice left wing back, and a striker who will give us more competition and options up front.

I suppose he has to keep Brown for now at least until Martin is back available, with sotiriou out as well just incase Promise get's injured, we would have no fit strikers available.

Even with him we wouldn’t have any strikers! Brown is and never will be a striker His work rate is poor, he can’t tackle and is no good in the air He ‘might’ be a number 10 but I’d like to see him moved on UTG

Martin sounds like he should be fit for Rotherham so, at worse, just the Cardiff game to play without a striker. Hopefully Promise can at least survive his first game injury free!

It was interesting to hear that MT suggested on Having a Gas last night that he had a similar budget to last season's, when all the posters claiming to be ITK were claiming JB had a massive budget and it was being cut by up to 25% this season.
