Crazy. If you are going to give the manager the summer, you have to also give him a decent run of games Maybe the signings over the summer didnt inspire. Certainly the fans forum has indicated that it was the right move as he is just too defensive and at the recent games was openly seeing dissent from players I read all that on their forum. Seemed strange as I was always very impressed with Blackpool whenever I saw them under him and they seemed to play very good attacking football. He always reminded me of a much better Ben garner. Hel do a good job at the next league one club to take him.

You have to give them time, two games at the start of the season is nothing The Crawley loss was a poor one but we'll do well to avoid defeat v Stockport, you'd have thought he would have been given Cambridge away on Saturday before considering his position.

Anthony Scully is one of interest to us. Pretty poor record... Isn't he more of a winger? 25 and played lots at this level. Scored or assisted 1 in every 3 games on average. That's not a poor record🤣

That's not a poor record🤣 I stand corrected, thought he was a striker so only looked at his goal record. His combined G/A is pretty good for the level! Not a lot of minutes these past two seasons though.

Just read in today’s paper that Harvey Vale is one of 13 players told they can’t train with the first team as they don’t feature in the managers plans WYHHB., personally I thought he was a decent honest player & one of our better loan signings .

Have him back in a heartbeat. But if we’re being realistic, a championship will be snapping him up. More likely to see him at City than at Rovers for the foreseeable future.

Harvey Vale's 3 year contract finishes at the end of this season. Assuming that he is on a decent wage, you'd think that Chelsea might be thinking of cashing in on him, as they won't want to offer a new deal, whereas if I was Harvey, i'd be looking at moving to a club, either on loan or permanently (probably Championship) where I see my future for the next few years.

I think we'd all like to see Vale back at Rovers.
Unlikely I would think as I'm sure we would have tried to get Vale back before signing Sousa on loan.

what happened to that nutter we had from Fulham - Jasper??? He’s plying his trade in the Portuguese second division & started the season on the bench. His side were in the top div last year but got relegated. A couple of goals & assists for him.

Last week predictions...
IN Loan striker/10/winger from Prem or Champ No further ins, will rely on GK emergency loans
OUT Brown - loan to league 2 for half wages to run down contract. Chesterfield or Salford Ellison - Loan to NL for season with Jan recall option. Aldershot or Yeovil
Thats it.

I have to say Dan Crowley was pretty special last night for Notts County and only has 1 year of his contract left.
I remember he tore us a new one in that embarrassing defeat at Morecambe. Shame we didnt sign him he is better than McCormick and Hutchinson imo

Transfer Window closes one week today. So pleased we didn't go through with the Clarke Harris transfer last time due allegedly to bodged paper work but hope perhaps Brown can be off loaded. Not one of JB's better decisions!!! Suspect Ellison will go out on loan.
