True. No surprise he is considering his options. Would be a bit annoying to get him 'fit' only for him to waltz off to somewhere else. I cant see him having anywhere near a full season though I wouldn't offer him anything to be honest. Stinks of a Tareiq Holmes-Dennis, Garry Kenneth, Adam Virgo, Jamie Shore etc etc etc "He'll be great when he's fit" as he drags around mangled legs for a further 2 years and 12 appearances. If he signs for us, he will probably get injured before the season starts. If he signs elsewhere, he will probably play 30+ games knowing our luck.

League One team of the year pending if he leaves. I have a feeling this summer may be very boring but we'll actually put together a hard working set of pros who go about their work in the right way and end the season finishing around 14th.

JK herself and her parents were from the Yate area so perhaps her son's rumoured interest in Rovers has been handed-down? Born in Chipping Sodbury Cottage Hospital, family lived in Yate briefly. I don't think either parent was actually from Yate, or even the surrounding area. JK's Dad worked for Siddely which would have been Filton/Patchway.
JK went to School in Winterbourne, then later Tutsill. Parents stayed in the area and JK has bought their former home.

Prior to his injury at the end of February 2023, I don't recall Curtis being unavailable for any stretch of time in the five years he was with us - think he was some way over 200 games in that time. He was excellent in his first couple of years with us but didn't really seem to progress after that, and his form dropped off under the Cowleys (I don't think they really aligned). I have to say I wasn't disappointed that he turned down a contract offer from us last summer - which was supposedly on pretty basic terms, given he was going to be out of action for most of the season. All that said, I was pleased he made a bit of an impact at AFCW - and wonder whether Rovers old boy Lee Brown, who I think got on quite well with Ronan, had some influence on his arrival there. If he feels he has unfinished business, RC could be a decent signing in L1; but, for me, there are some questions about his attitude. Definite questions about his attitude, I've had that confirmed to me within last 24 hours by someone that has worked with him. Edit: It's a 50/50 one for me. Based purely on his ability and at the age of 28, I would probably take him. But, the other factors have to be taken into consideration like attitude and injury etc. Weigh up and evaluate the other potential player signing options and target the best one, and if that is Curtis, then so be it. 👍🏻
If the injury hasn't lessened him it might make him a stronger player, lots of attributes just seemed to lose his way. Even when he wasn't reaching his levels before his injury it never felt as though he was 'phoning it in'. It's whether he still feels he's got a point to prove and the hunger/discipline to give that the best chance to happen. I don't say that with any side as I don't know where he's at with himself now.

Joe Morrell probably leaving Pompey
I'm hopeful we'll keep hold of Morrell, if not expectant. The year or so between him coming back from the Qatar World Cup up until his injury was by far the best we'd seen of him and he was a really key part of our performance early on this season. Reading between the lines the issue is the terms of the extension - I think the club might be more interested in two years on a bit less weekly wage than the one - which was negotiated under a previous football set-up.
He's one of several who would be an asset to pretty much any side in L1 alongside some of those on our released list.

Rumour is that she only lived there for about 3 weeks, if you know more I would love to hear it. The school that she went to, received an anonymous donation rumoured to be 6 figures for a library facility. The headmaster at the time always tipped a wink to J.K doing it.

Bored and wishing i was in a pub garden, so here's my not ITK stab at the kinda team we could see next season. Spending some of the cash from Collins and (if it happens) Evans, but mixed with youth and current crop to keep within budgets. Other than keeper and maybe Baggott, there are no loans here yet but would expect 2 or 3 more and the likes of Brown, McCormick and maybe more being loaned the other way.
------------------31. L Vigouroux
------5. J Wilson---17. C Taylor---4. E Baggott 11. L Thomas--21. H Kite--8. G Ward--6. K Conteh--3. R Adebisi
------------------10. W Evans ------------------------9. L. Tolaj
SUBS 1. J Ward 2. J Connolly 30. L Hoole 43. J Lawrence 37. K Shaw 18. C Martin 7. S Sinclair

Don’t expect it to be better as such. But more balanced and with options and fewer injuries. That should be enough.

Attacking Midfielder (maybe Aguilera!) Winger (Ronan Curties perm?) Young Striker (Callum Marshall for eg) As for the Keeper situation. If we go perm not loan, the Crawley lad would be a good pick up. Wonder if Jed could end up on load with DC at Chelts? Could work, they need a keeper. Finally bit of guesswork - could we swap Hoole for Evans with Newport? Not sure what we'd get a tribunal but could be a better option if he wanted out (as per GasChat ITKers)
