Still started a number of games for them last season and captained them in one game. So you would have to think he's on a championship wage that we wouldn't be able to match. Must know Sinclair pretty well would have played together at Preston and both had girlfriends on Corri. May knows Evans as well. True, but just because you know some of the players, does that mean you're willing to take a pay cut?? I suppose if his partner earns enough and he wants first team football he might.

I know what you mean. They're like an albatross round the neck of the forum. why would you tell little lies ? Maybe we should break the chain of Fleetwood Mac references

No idea, I can't imagine Preston are the best payers in that league and a three year deal with us on a slightly lower wage might give him more security.

JK's Dad worked for Siddely which would have been Filton/Patchway.
JK went to School in Winterbourne, then later Tutsill. Parents stayed in the area and JK has bought their former home. Rumour is that she only lived there for about 3 weeks, if you know more I would love to hear it. The school that she went to, received an anonymous donation rumoured to be 6 figures for a library facility. The headmaster at the time always tipped a wink to J.K doing it. She used to have her hair done at my mothers hairdressing salon when they lived in Winterbourne Down 💙

Just looked at his wiki page . Would be a little strange if true bearing in mind that his partner is in Coronation street. is there a trend here? Still started a number of games for them last season and captained them in one game. So you would have to think he's on a championship wage that we wouldn't be able to match. Looks like he has a year left on his contract so probably a decent fee would be involved.

Bored and wishing i was in a pub garden, so here's my not ITK stab at the kinda team we could see next season. Spending some of the cash from Collins and (if it happens) Evans, but mixed with youth and current crop to keep within budgets. Other than keeper and maybe Baggott, there are no loans here yet but would expect 2 or 3 more and the likes of Brown, McCormick and maybe more being loaned the other way. ------------------31. L Vigouroux ------5. J Wilson---17. C Taylor---4. E Baggott 11. L Thomas--21. H Kite--8. G Ward--6. K Conteh--3. R Adebisi ------------------10. W Evans ------------------------9. L. Tolaj SUBS 1. J Ward 2. J Connolly 30. L Hoole 43. J Lawrence 37. K Shaw 18. C Martin 7. S Sinclair Decent effort and probably fair accurate, although I must admit, this side looks no better than last season. Relegation side if this is the squad next season. Harry Kite!? Geez! No thank you.

Why would a Championship player who lives with his Coronation St girlfriend and their young baby in Blackpool drop to L1 and have to live miles away from his family during the week?

Absolutely no idea, just passing in what someone who claims to know him personally said. Won't be going all Gas Go Marching In on you if he does sign

We need a quality keeper as number 1 which Jed Ward is not at the moment and due to his height i have doubts he ever will be. He might b e a good shot stopper but does not control his defence, We need an experienced keeper who can control his area and the defence. Ward always seems lost when crosses come in.

He is 6ft 2, what is your obsession about his height when it isn't an issue. He is 20 years of age for christ sake. Been selected in England U20s and is being watched in everyone of our games by teams in higher divisions.

And stats eg vs Cox don’t back up the main claim either. A case of blinded by a pre held opinion maybe? High claim 87% compared to 40% For cox according to Footmob

Ward's clearly being watched as he has potential, I'm not sure if having potential is going to keep clean sheets for us next season.

I agree we need two “no1s” challenging each other or an experienced no1 with Ward going out to L2 on loan. At least for half a season.

If we did the latter then the new No 1 wouldn't have anybody challenging him? We've also still got Hall on the playing budget.

If it’s a true no1 that is expects to play all matches and any injury can be covered by an emergency loan or Ward recall. The model pirate has posted a few times. Hall is not a real back up.

Most lower league clubs don't want to waste their budget on a second 'fist choice keeper'. They will have a youngster on the bench, or someone like we have (Hall). Then if the number one keeper gets injured those clubs will just bring in someone on loan.

I know how the model works, but none of us know if MT is a fan or not of that model, not having a genuine No 2 goalie seems a false saving to me. If MT agrees with keeping Hall then either Ward stays as our No 1 or goes out on loan and a new No 1 is signed. Surprised Hall was ever given a 2 year contract.

I will stick to my guns on the fact that he does not control his defence or give great confidence at corners but this is not surprising at his age and this is why the better teams and even some worse have experienced keepers. If Ward is 6ft 2 then he certainly doesn t look it when he is in the goal but i will concede on others better knowledge. He always struck me as being a physically weak keeper and shorter than 6ft.
