Yes, as part of the 'everyone is doing better than us because we are crap' narrative, it's not wholly convincing. They don't own it, they'll be paying to use it, other teams also require use of it, it's over 20 miles from WWFC and it's not a long term solution. Anyone can rent premium facilities for the short term. I much prefer the idea of owning and developing the Quarters than paying a wealthy university. So not impressed. The facilities and the fact it's in London will probably allow them to attract a better calibre of player. Like Barrow have done training in Manchester. It's a temporary solution. They wanted to buy Readings training ground which would have cost near to £25million and they also want to develop an academy, so eventually I expect them to own there own facility. In the meantime they get to use an excellent facility while exploring other options. There's zero proof their new owner is going to start splashing £m's on cheating Wycombe, let's just see how things progress, or don't progress, before deciding the takeover is going to be a complete success.

Other than what you just wrote, I haven't read anyone saying it will be a complete success. Very early days, but initial impressions seem good, although like you said...let's see how things progress.

QPR have now moved to a new trying base in Heston which is roughly the same size as The Quarters.
We might be able to improve The Quarters to match this new QPR base in time.
On leaving Harlington, it has been stated:
"QPR have officially opened their new state-of-the-art training complex in Heston.
The 27-acre site will house both first team and Academy and features seven pitches, a hydropool, changing facilities, dining area, offices and a large gym.
The site is more than double the size of QPR’s previous Harlington base, which was owned by Imperial College, and had been regarded as unfit for purpose for some time."
The website for Imperial College highlights the widely shared Harlington facilities:
Located near Heathrow Airport, Harlington is open seven days a week and is available for bookings from students, staff and members of the public.
Facilities are :
Rugby - 4 pitches (1 with American football markings) Football - 8 pitches & 1 floodlit FIFA Certified 3G Astro Lacrosse - 2 pitches Hockey - Floodlit Sand Based Astro Cricket - 1 square Baseball/Softball - 1 diamond 1 Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) - 3 floodlit tennis courts, 2 floodlit netball courts Floodlit grass training area Pavillion with Bar and function room
(This widely-used community facility is impressive and similar to Coombe Dingle. It has certain disadvantages which remind me of both Fry's Somerdale and The Imperial Sports Ground.)
It seems a useful short term base for Wycombe Wanderers.

And we're so far behind -- We've been lapped. Not sure we would be looking at another keeper who would expect to play all the time with Jed around. No insight but more likely to see a loanee brought in. I hope Jed is given a real chance. Other more important priorities if the budget is being reduced. UTG!

JW is probably not a million miles behind where James Trafford was a couple of seasons ago and having joined Burnley for £15m last summer, there's now rumours Newcastle want to sign him. I feel MT has to start the season with JW in the hope he continues to impress and improve, with a bit of luck he might grow a few more inches in the summer as well!!

Does Ederson need to grow a few inches too? He's the same height as Ward.

In for Deji Oshilaja along with Mansfield. hope thats true, commanding CB thats played at this level lots, he was a captain and not blighted by injuries. i'd only say that theres no room for progression with him but we do need a balance in the squad.

Played the last two seasons in midfield and no better than what we already have. Extra depth, but really don't see how this improves us. Was really hoping for quality over quantity.
