Another one to add to the list. Or is that some sort of confirmation bias too? 😆

I know its hard for you to grasp, but once again, it was not my decision to appoint him.

And didnt see the excellent Exeter team that beat us to 2nd in League 2? Yes the season faded into dull nothingness with a bunch of players not really trying, and yes he may not work out here, but this is getting really dull. Support the team or dont, support the manager or dont. Who cares, it wont change anything. Just dont really see why you bother as you seem to hate it all so much! UTG

No it wasn't, but I recall you were more than just charitable towards Barton, even calling out others on here who didn't want him. Just like it's Matt Taylor and the board's decision to sign players.

Garner and Tisdale on paper seemed sensible choices at the time. We have made worse decision in the past. Getting the right manager comes down to the right man at the right time. All the talk of a man being boring is silly, different managers have different personalities look at Alf Ramsey the quietest guy you could find but it worked at the time.

Is MT boring? I’ve no idea but fortunately he’s not trying to get on the front pages of newspapers nor buying a season ticket for the British judicial system which must be a plus point for him and us. And he’ll have to go some to rival Ben G for that accolade. Blimey that man’s press conferences were boring with his determination to show he hadn’t a clue what to do….
MTs a football manager whose job is to manage BRFC. He’s yet to convince everyone that he’s the right choice for the job but he needs to be given the chance to build his team with his players. One of the most recent outcomes of how we have been run by owners and managers is that each summer we need a major overhaul of players and now coaches. It isn’t the traditional ‘BRFC way’.
And in the end as he is our manager I will support him. Perhaps there are plenty of ‘boring’ managers around but some of them do well. And in the end MT will have to get results irrespective of how boring he’s considered. Results will determine his success nothing else.
UTG!

I have enjoyed some of his interviews, he talks well about football. He would rather his players have the limelight, that's why he got Brandon to do the fist pumps, when he scored the only goal at Exeter. Just because he's not an attention seeker, that means he's boring in a lot of people's eyes. I can see why some say it, but I would have thought people with some footballing knowledge like Pirate, would appreciate a lot of what he's said.

Well said, totally agree, fed up of some with their boring, and Monotone Matt tags, he s our manager and I support him. He has a blank canvas BUT less money than the previous incumbent. I think our transfer deals are done already, UTG, Rich fire up the Buses!

Not a great surprise , Championship football in a good stadium so for football reasons don't blame him for staying put.
