This is kind of feeling like the squad Widdrington gifted Garner with, a lot, maybe too many new young players who will be stepping up a few levels. I sincerely hope these signings this week will get balanced with some serious experience, otherwise we will be in trouble. Hunt Wilson Taylor had played 3 or 4 seasons now Brown Grant Ward Thomas Sinclair Martin We have plenty of experience

I sincerely hope these signings this week will get balanced with some serious experience, otherwise we will be in trouble. I agree that we need a balance, but we have some old heads and even players like Connor Taylor are now fairly established at league level. We’ve been crying out for youth and pace for a good few seasons, and this approach of youth that will potentially be here over a few seasons will stop the endless cycle of re- builds that has happened far too often. I’m fully behind our recruitment team and expect MT to create a solid organised unit with his own players. Of course there will be challenges ahead and we may well struggle at times but it’s our job to get behind our own players. UTG

If moore is coming in that adds to Wilson, Hunt, Ward, Martin, Evans, Thomas and Sinclair. Taylor hardly a young in mind or spirit either. Much prefer a youthful policy than old crocks from the champ! UTG

Admire your optimism people, but I don’t share it. Prepared to be be proven wrong tho, but how much of a risk being taken will become apparent when we get going.

Do they really lack experience though? Ellison, for sure. He's probably one for the future. Hutchinson has 179 appearance under his belt and has played a few games at this level for Southend a few years ago. Sotiriou has 176 appearances under his belt. Most of those for Leyton Orient, including 47 (Inc Cup) in L1 last season. Mola is a bit less experienced, but still played 35 (Inc Cup) times for Reading last season in L1, and made a a few appearances for Blackburn in the Championship. With the exception of Ellison, these aren't kids taking their first steps into the mens game. We also already have a number of very experienced pros, Hunt, Wilson, Ward, Sinclair, and Martin are all in their 30's, and Brown turns 30 on October. Taylor Moore is expected to sign, he's 27. Thomas, McCormick, and Evans (I know he's probably off) have plenty of experience at this level. I'm quite happy with the signings so far, and there will be more to come, some of which may have the experience you're looking for. We have been linked with 2 or 3 older players who have chosen to go elsewhere, so no reason to think all our signings will be under 25.

And Hinchliffe, current keeper, was their POTS last season. Keeping two no.1s happy will be a test. Seems a strange set of transfers out at Crawley. UTG!

We've seen this all too many times before, I'm not excited by any of these signings, it's for them to produce on the pitch, prove they are cut out for this level and then excited us. Proof is in the pudding and the ball is in their court. They need to show us what they've got.

Surely we are going 5 from 5 today, but who?
ODDS Moore - 2/1 Sinclair - 3/1 Sinclair & Hoole - 6/1 Someone unexpected - 4/1

We still haven’t made a ‘marquee’ signing imo but the signings up to now have mainly been impressive. I’m pleased we’ve got Dan Ellison signed and I’m looking forward to see him develop over the next couple of years - this lad could be the ‘real deal’. We desperately need a big mobile number nine & perhaps an approach to Joe Wildsmith wouldn’t go amiss after missing out on Cameron Dawson. An interesting week ahead from July 1st I feel.

If we go for Joe Wildsmith it will surely be awhile before he signs, the amount of time wasting he did when Derby tool a early lead against us made Wycombe total novices, I'm sure he got a yellow card in the first half, good solid keeper though. Now Bolton have snapped up Klaidi Lolos from Crawley That will make it 3 in and 5 out plus a couple of re-newed contracts. Owners trying to make some money perhaps? The ‘ins’ have been from non league. Do you know what’s happening there pirate? UTG!

Born in Athens, Greece would’ve linked up nicely with our new man from Cyprus.

Believe the clubs owners are taking advantage of the players contracts being a crucial point to sell - they don’t have the biggest budget, in fact it’s probably bottom 3 in L1 so trying to sustain the clubs future by replacing with potential based NL players.
