As much as I’d like to Coburn back, I want to see us reinvest some of the Evans money into bringing in a goal scorer on a permanent, then get a younger Prem academy loanee in to add to our options. Personally I think that’s the better way of doing it.

It sounds like he must be holding out for the best offer &/or promotion prospects, Barnsley can probably beat us on both counts.

Personally I think that’s the better way of doing it. Would there be no possibility of getting Coburn on a permanent? Might take a record fee but the owner was apparently willing to spend big on JCH last year and we’ve sold a couple of players since for big sums. I see similarities with Connor Taylor who rightly tried to make it with his home town club before recognising he needed to take a backward step by dropping to league one for the benefit of his long term career.

I thought we'd made a take it or leave it offer to Fleetwood and was waiting on whether they were going to accept it.

No idea on the Barnsley’s stance other than as reported they are/were interested.

Plymouth wanted him on loan last season, but they decided to keep him, at the last minute. Championship clubs near the bottom, would probably be interested again. But would probably get more minutes with us which would surely be a major consideration

Coburn and Promise Omochere would give us a squad well capable of a comfortable mid table position and maybe a play off push. Mainly excited for a much more front footed and pressing approach. The Mem will love that. Can see us easily swapping from 3 to 4 at the back mid game with full backs able to play as wingbacks and in Mola's case as a LCB.

Wouldn’t be opposed to getting Coburn on a permanent though.

Its Westfield. Hes never got a thing right and probably posted 100+ inside stories from his super reliable sources.

Korey Smith, the ex Ted, has signed for Cambridge. I know a couple on here were saying he could be a potential signing for us.

Understand we’ve made a final offer for Promise Omochere, £300k. Football Insider reporting we’ve agreed a deal in excess of £500,000 for Promise beating a number of other sides to his signature. I can assure you based on what I was told, bidding without add ons earlier this week was around £300k.

I can assure you based on what I was told, bidding without add ons earlier this week was around £300k. Who are Football Insider? Are they credible? Yes very, usually. Confirmed our signing of Lindsay before the Bristol Post. I am not doubting the fee may well be £500k but that’s an increase on our bid from Monday/last week or so I’m told.
