I think we will shortly be 1 signing away from our first choice 11. Sotiriou, Taylor, Ward, Thomas, Hunt, Sinclair etc may have something to say but...... ------------Griffiths --Moore---Forbes---Mola Senior-Conteh-Lindsay-Bilongo ---Omochere---Hutchinson ------NEW/Martin I am struggling to see how Thomas and Sinclair are fitting into our supposed new formation. Which is a shame as I really rate them both.

Taylor starts over any of that back 3 and for me Hunt starts ahead of Senior and Ward ahead of Lindsay.

What with all the new signings it's easy to forget players already at the club

It's good to see that we will have options though. Some players create space for others, due to their speed and power. There must be a reason why a number of clubs were after him.

I tend to ignore the stats just because a player has poor stats doesn't mean they are going to be poor you have to consider other factors as well Some players will thrive under different tactics than that at their previous club Any new player signed starts with a clean slate

My eyes would still tell me he’s a great player though!

Perfect for us as he already has an injury! Probably as genuine as Connolly's mystery injury, I wonder if we're trying to offload him as part of the deal?

Salford City in for Jed Ward, on loan. Another made up rumour from sources, Salford just signed a Jamie Jones from Boro

Looks like the squad is being put together to be adaptable, options in different formations depending on the opponent
Nice to see some pace being added, probably only one more attacking option needed, maybe if we are being greedy one striker and one winger
Like the way we have approached recruitment, starting with emphasis on the back line and adding where needed up top
As with all seasons we go into it with loads of unknowns but we are at least looking like we have a plan, signing young players with the aim of creating a side that will grow over time.
Can’t wait to hear us gas in full song soon!!

There’s going to be some difficult selection decisions to make when the season starts. Hard to predict what the XI will be and it will also depend upon injuries and fitness. But amongst all the new signings I would be making Grant Ward, Connor Taylor and Luke Thomas my first three names on the team sheet.
MTs man-management will be called into action keeping everyone happy, good luck to him.

I don't envy MT trying to fit all these players into our team but it is nice to finally have some real genuine quality options (on paper at least). Personally for the 3 at the back, I would be going with Moore, Taylor and Forbes but after that, it is anyone's guess...
The hardest bit for me is choosing the 2 centre midfielders out of Conteh, Hutchinson, Lindsey and Ward and who plays in the wing back roles (if we go with that formation) out of Hunt, Senior, Thomas, Bilongo and Mola.
The chances of everyone being 100% fit, not having suspensions etc is pretty remote over the course of a season but this squad is shaping up very nicely so it is over to MT to get the best out of them all. And personally, I have confidence that he will.

Formation will change in games i think, when 4 at the back, then wingers will come into play more. We have good cover it seems everywhere this season, unlike last with 1 LB and 1 striker (still need 1 more striker imho)

Sounds feasible but whether or not it's applied is a different matter

Devante Cole is on our radar. Edit - although a deal looks unlikely as he has a lot of decent offers, namely Motherwell.
