I've got no problem with this route. If you don't want to use a digital ticket, you pay for one......simple. On top of £500? Yep. My only caveat would be that this should have been communicated earlier that it will be digital only, unless you pay an additional fee for a physical card.

I’ve no problem with this on a personal level. But this absolutely should have been communicated before renewal and it is unfair on anyone who doesn’t have a smart phone or can’t use a smart phone.

Perhaps someone could enlighten me? I've tried to look at the news on the club website and, er, there seems to be some problem. Heading is there, but no content.

Fine for those who want a digital season ticket.
However, the club are discriminating against people who do not own a smart phone, or are not confident when using tecnology. Poor form in my book.

Agree with gasandelectricity absolutely right ..... Should have been disclosed up front - its progressive but yet again poorly communicated by the club.
When will they ever learn or is it a matter of genuinely not giving a stuff in a 'take it or leave it' statement.

Next it will be 50p to use the toilets with no water toilet rolls or drying facilties. Brand loyalty seems to be the mantra they operate on. Firestick wins for 24 25 season.

Surely this is Ticketmaster's fault right? Seems everything else gets blamed on them.
But in all seriousness why can't the club just factor this in beforehand and add £15 onto the cost of a season ticket, or make it very clear during the purchasing process that a physical ticket will come at an additional cost *facepalm*
Once again a case of poor planning all round on the clubs behalf

It’s the way that the club has gone about it that gets on my wick.
If it was announced upfront then all I’d personally be saying is that it’s a bit steep for what it is and harsh on those who aren’t as tech friendly as I or others on here may be.
Call it £10, then I don’t think many would be causing a fuss at all and most would just consider it a reflection of the times.
The club has a tendency to shoot itself in the foot massively and do it repeatedly.
If I have been a drone on certain matters on here - this is why.

The stewards searching the over 60 s and leaving the Stone islanders walk in unsearched, makes me chuckle, asked one what he was looking for ? He didn't know ffs

Tesco replacement club card absolutely free. On one occasion, I may have had a little too much to drink before a game and tried to use my Tesco card to get through the turnstiles. Unfortunately, my mate notices the error, so the "football" was witnessed. (We lost)

I don't like it, but I don't think they are trying to squeeze the last drop out of punters. I don't imagine they want to receive £15 from anyone. It's a deterrent. They just want everyone to have a digital ticket to keep costs down. However, I do agree that it's been poorly communicated and should have been done earlier.

Every season ticket holder should be sent a email explaining this, giving them the opportunity to cancel if they don’t want to pay the £15 (if they don’t have a smartphone).
