Excuse my ignorance what is a physical card ? The thing some people bought (in some cases) without knowing that it was going to be about as much use as ……well no use at all really.

No problem.
Buy your fiscal cad with a £10 Bristol Pound note and 10 Fifty Pence coins.
Everyone's happy.

I don't know anyone who doesn't have a smart phone. Even my olds at 87 and 84 have smart phones. It’s not about having a smart phone (or not)….its about communication. Simples. Letting people know prior to purchase what the T’s and C’s are. Be it a ST for BRFC or anything else. Simples really…… What difference would it have made when virtually nobody will have to pay the £15? I doubt there's one s/t holder who wouldn't have renewed/bought a s/t if they knew the charge was going to be made.

About time really. Occasionally go watch Prem football, only ever used my phone to get into the ground... Step in the right direction. No reason to keep using plastic for majority.
Just an idea, an alternative for the over 65 or people that don't have a phone or can't use one. Perhaps an email with a QR code on it would do and have it so it can be re used every game. Up to the person then to get it laminated to protect it.

If this change was going to be made after the purchase it should have been communicated to purchasers ahead of the purchase so that the full facts are known. Same with any purchase of anything.

But some people might have (for whatever reason) and I just feel that the likelihood of a fundamental change like this ( which has likely been discussed internally for a while) should have been communicated to potential purchasers ahead of - and not after - purchase. It’s not about the change for me - but the (timing) of the communication of that change (I.E. after purchase and not before). Same when buying any product.

One motivation for this could be that it will stop people lending their ST to others when they can't attend odd games
Making the change after selling tickets seems wrong, even if if it would not have caused many not to renew.

Stinks of the Norwich ticket climb down this… how long until the second statement is released saying anyone who’s already purchased can get a card for free?!
(Nothing to add that’s already been said - digital is perfect for most, including me, but if it’s not the option should be there and anyone who’s paid for a ticket shouldn’t pay. You’d think after about 5 years of Dam up season tickets and entry Rovers might just get it right this year… I’m gonna miss it if we ever got our act together!)

There is some seriously 'Professional Offence' being taken by some on this subject.

I remember them saying the current cards would work next season, they've changed the goal posts, half the time the man presses the pedal to let me in on my B and q card!😃
