I’m not renewing for copious reasons, this put the lid on it for me 💙 so many not renewing and very few new sacrificial lambs you would think they will be desperate to find anyone to part upfront for a ticket without stealth charges coming in

I don’t know why they don’t go the whole hog , and start charging disabled people or women more for a season ticket, why just pick on elderly and people who don’t own a mobile phone. Seems like another own goal from the club the latest in a long list Thank you Tom welcome to the forum we re a friendly bunch, Marshy is at war with the Krays, but overall it's all cool and the gang.

Every season ticket holder should be sent a email explaining this, giving them the opportunity to cancel if they don’t want to pay the £15 (if they don’t have a smartphone). Coming soon BRFC smart phones 😂🏴☠️ Reg it's a business now, be charging soon for extra time over the 90 minutes. 😂 Reg is retired now...we need to be kind to him. WOULD YOU LIKE A BIG FONT SIZE ON YOUR PHONE REG, SO YOU CAN SEE YOUR TICKET? He'll ignore that Puckle, just like he ignores the bar. 😎🍺

Well Well Well said the Rocking Chair!
Another PR disaster by the club.
These owners truly do not know how to treat people properly, employees, suppliers or the fans!
I understand why the club want to do this but what a pigs ear!
It seems that its either an afterthought, or calculated timing, i.e. once we had committed to a S/T and them banking on our emotional ties to accept it.
If they had introduced this when they advertised the S/T prices they could have added the £15 to the S/T price and spun it to say £15 off for those accepting a digital ticket.
I'm sure that would have gone down far better with the majority?

I'm coming at this from a different angle, I'm under 40, very tech literate so having the tickets on my phone isn't an issue. However I much prefer a physical card for a couple of reasons. One my card can't run out of charge, and secondly if I can't attend I can hand it over to a mate. I suspect that second reason is a big driver for this, means if we have a big game I can't attend then my ST goes on the exchange and the club can make a few quid out of my seat on re-sale. Has to be easier to lend tickets via a screenshot of the digital ticket than actually having to physically hand it over. Saves you fostering mine for half the season Might be a fancy app where the QR code changes every few mins to prevent such sharing from occurring? (haha, no, of course it will just be a print at home style ticket e-mailed to you before every game.. like we had when season cards weren't sent out in time )

Apologies if it is mentioned before on the thread. There can't be many people who don't have a phone, so this will be fine for most. For those that don't have a phone capable of digital tickets, then the club should offer the facility of a free card upon application. Simple. How would that work, how do you prove you don't have a suitable phone?? I'm not looking to over complicate the matter as I don't think this will effect a huge number of individuals. Most now have smartphones. I accept some children and older individuals (in the main) won't. For families, it's easy enough to create a new email address to associate with the child's ticket which the adult can access. That way all the season tickets can be saved to the adult's digital wallet. It works, I've done it. If you genuinely don't have a suitable phone, then the club should take you at your word and issue a free card. There can't be many who have a phone who also want a card.

I think the biggest grievance is the usual water poor communication. Putting out a blunt email that doesn't exactly explain anything just gets on people's nerves

Season tickets are non transferable, so you've broken your t&c of purchase. (Even though I know this is widely practiced and tolerated throughout) Like as ever, you're a commodity treated with money grabbing contempt, not a welcomed loyal returning customer that might spend more because of your emotional connection to the club. Sometimes it's not so much what they do, but how they do it..

In my case it's a matter of losing things - I'm far less likely to misplace my phone, a plastic card, that's a different matter. Funny though that one of the constant themes on here is about the club not modernising and moving with the times, yet when they do...

I've never understood why football tickets are viewed differently.

So in the case of someone who is severely disabled, can't operate a "smart phone" and doesn't have internet, a season ticket card is of paramount importance. Added to that, when a charity is used to travel to and from games, and the carer can change each game, sending ST to the carer will also not work, on top of that, disabled with carers have to have 2 season ticket cards. As many have suggested here previously, STs were purchased, and then this new requirement was announced after the fact. Go and buy a car, then when you go to fill it up, the manufacturer will only allow it, when you have paid another £15 to allow you to open the fuel cap. Doesn't sound so good then does it? Added on top it appears disabled supporters may not be able to remain with friends and family in areas they have been for donkeys years, as it appears the club is looking to have all disabled on a platform in the old family stand. They don't seem to be getting looked after very well do they? I am considering asking for a refund on my advance purchase of my ST. Really not happy with how the most vulnerable in our club are being treated, more of an annoyance than fans.

I don’t think people have issue with the premise, it’s how the club has gone about it. I dont think Michael O’Leary would be as cloak and daggered about this.
