Oh dear. Season tickets are non transferable, so you've broken your t&c of purchase. (Even though I know this is widely practiced and tolerated throughout) Like as ever, you're a commodity treated with money grabbing contempt, not a welcomed loyal returning customer that might spend more because of your emotional connection to the club. Sometimes it's not so much what they do, but how they do it.. If I buy a ticket for the theatre, and then can't make it, I can pass the ticket for the seat which I have paid for onto somebody else. I've never understood why football tickets are viewed differently. Totally agree.

In my case it's a matter of losing things - I'm far less likely to misplace my phone, a plastic card,that's a different matter. Funny though that one of the constant themes on here is about the club not modernising and moving with the times, yet when they do... I don’t think people have issue with the premise, it’s how the club has gone about it. I dont think Michael O’Leary would be as cloak and daggered about this. Not sure about that, adding the cost after the event is totally crap, but plenty on here and on SM are saying that it causes issues if they forget their phone, leave it in the car, drop it down the toilet or just don't want to use it, and then say 'what am I supposed to do'?

To clarify;
- Moving tickets to Mobile Tickets/App - Absolutely fine. - Charging for cards if the punter wants a card - Absolutely fine. - Waiting until after season tickets have been sold to charge £15 for a card on top of a £7 "Processing Fee" - Really sh**.
The right thing to do would be provide FREE cards this season to whoever wants them, then going forward charging a £5 max fee for replacement cards while still running the mobile tickets. Absolute divs running the show.

Will I be able to claim my money back. Having bought my season in good faith my renewal should have been
the same terms as last year. I have not got a smart phone. To pay £15 extra for a hard copy is unethical, Taken money from pensioners.

Our club certainly knows how to upset people. Unless things change it will be back to the days of the faithful 5000 at games.

Yep, but I was referring more to your comment that people are happy with the premise of having to go 'digital'.

They will refund the ticket straight away and sell it again full price just to get their hands on a 100 quid.

Just seems odd that somebody has access to a laptop/PC/tablet but not a mobile phone, usually it's the other way round. Not really so odd at all. Almost every home in the country had a laptop or PC long before smartphones came along and it's a technology that now-elderly people got used to. I know at least five over-70s who have laptops but not smartphones.

What would really and I mean really boil my pi$$ is if the club would be making a profit on the cards. I mean it’s bad enough charging someone £15 after you’ve bought a season ticket for a hard copy of one but to make a profit on it would be scandalous after admin fees etc.
