The worry for me is that out of the group of 15 players contracted for next season (ignoring Hoole, Rossiter and Sinclair for the moment) 3 are injury prone and based on this season can not be relied upon (Wilson, Hunt, Grant Ward) 3 are youngsters or players that won't realistically play any real part (Hall, Lawrence, Shaw) 3 are not good enough to progress (based on this season) (Connolly, McCormick, Brown) Leaves just six players who I personally feel should do a job for us (Jed Ward (as back-up), Taylor, Evans, Conteh, Thomas, Martin). Enormous job to do. And then the three we have offered contracts to could also be put into those categories…

Enormous job to do. Huge job to do and as others said, some of the contracted ones may not be here either. Lets see what we can bring in, on the flip side the savings in salaries on those leaving will be huge (some for very little back). We need first 11 or first 11 challenging in virtually every position.

Sinclair is an odd one , couldn’t buy a game for months and months but got a late run of games. Guessing he was on a good wage and we’ve offered him reduced terms. Otherwise his wages would be better invested elsewhere imo . Sinclair flatters to deceive too much for me. Hardly beats anyone, as his pace isnt what it was, understandably. He has been better of late but players tend to up their game when they want a new contract, unless his new missus has sparked him into life?

Underwhelmed as always after a long wait ..... 1. We desperately need to move on some of those still stealing a wage under contract - Connolly, McCormick, Wilson and possibly Brown. 2. Hoping Hoole signs another deal 3. If Rossiter leaves after we have rehab'd him for 16 months its a poor showing. No loyalty in football though. 4. Will Grant Ward and Jack Hunt play 30 games between them? 5. Need to try and extend Evans if possible. 6. Good standard Incomings now vital as what is left will take us down next season. After that desperately long 24 hour wait what were you expecting? A separate list saying Connolly, McCormick, Wilson and Brown have all been sacked?

No ... more in hope that they can now talk to other clubs. Anything really that said "Don't worry we wont be relying on these frauds"

Exactly what we're all expecting.
I think most of this still in contract will still be here.
Wilson won't go anywhere in my opinion. Half hour from Newport to the training ground, 36 years old in February and probably on a decent wage. If the MT said you're free to move on. He won't..
I'm happy Rossiter is being offered a new deal, so long as it isn't over 12 months.

If he ever plays in a charity match, he should have it printed on the back of his shirt, instead of his name. (Yes, I have a warped sense of humour).

Something to remember nothings to say couple of the contracted players won't move on or be sold 👍

One of the worst players ever to wear the shirt, in the 59 years that I have been watching. I've seen more life in a bloody fishcake.

Just because contracts have been offered does not mean that they have been accepted. I do feel sorry for Flash as i have always liked him as a footballer but his problem is that he lacks enough height to play as one of 3 across the back and only really fits into a back 4. He will do a good job for the right team.

Cant argue but shame about Greenslade So the Hoole rumours wrong. Gaschat, never change. Although he could turn down, but I hope not. Wonder what we have offered Rossiter. Hoole ain't staying Percy, he might get an offer, but wants to go. I wouldn't be worried about that personally, often gets beaten by his man and is poor on the ball. He might be one that goes onto better things, but I would be looking for a better starting RB option and using Hunt as backup (due to how injury prone he is).

No real surprises in the list, now it s been released we can sit back and watch as in true Gaschat fashion every player that is even vaguely linked to us is ripped to shreds before even signing or for those that do sign before they've even kicked a ball.

I don't understand all the hate for Brown? Really tidy on the ball, holds it up well. We have rarely played him in his correct position. When he has played or come on as sub we instantly look more threatening. I'm hoping we can get more pace and power in to lead the line and maybe we will see him differently.
