List pretty much as expected, sad to see Harvey released, a bit surprised we’ve offered Scott a new deal, hope we’ve offered enough to keep Jordan.
Would like to see us get Liam Sercombe back who has been impressive in an awful Cheltenham team 👍🏾

Sinclair flatters to deceive too much for me. Hardly beats anyone, as his pace isnt what it was, understandably. He has been better of late but players tend to up their game when they want a new contract, unless his new missus has sparked him into life? Poor bloke, will be forever known in the media as "Helen Flanagan's ex". "Poor bloke"?? I`d be more than happy to be known as Helen Flanagan`s ex. What memories!

Still rate him but think he may be a bit old for us if we’re young down the young and hungry route.

If these young players are good enough and hungry enough to play football they will make it, so time will tell if we have made a mistake releasing them. Out of interest, can anyone name a few young uns who we’ve made mistakes releasing who’ve gone on to bigger and better things ?

So….
Plenty of work to do
2 Left sided defenders/wing back
Re-sign Baggott?
2 midfielders, one winger and 2 strikers
Possibly a keeper to push Ward
I might be in the minority but reckon Wilson might prove to be a useful player if we can adopt a back 3, maybe him Taylor and Elkan?
We have enough quality, we need to get smart with adding some serious pace and a stronger left sides player or 2, be interesting to see which strikers we are linked with

The first priority is two strikers and an experienced goalkeeper. When have you seen Jed Ward control the defence? All the good keepers are in control of the defenders around them and dominant in the air. Whenever a team has sent in crosses Jed Ward is like a rabbit in headlights. He makes good saves but the days when keepers were great shot stoppers are gone and most goalkeepers now are over 6ft and dominating-we need one of these. The two or even three strikers will define our season. Once these are sorted we need an intake of pace and a couple of full backs. I will also be disappointed with Rossiter if he doesnt agree a contract after the work the club did to get him fit again.

You've articulated my opinions pretty much. I've got my ST for nxt season, but I wonder if it may be my last. it wont be the last and we all know it, all of us on here are bound to this club through some awful curse. it was my mum that started to take me to games at Twerton, many times ive threatened to report her for historic child abuse in making me support Rovers but I cant change it none of us can. Remember we are what makes Rovers - Rovers not the manager, not the owners, and not the players. So true ! UTG RTID 💙

Me too. I can`t face any more of the dross that the team served up since the end of January. I’ve not renewed for next season. I’ve rarely enjoyed watching a home game during the past 6 months and don’t have much faith that next season will be any better. I will probably pay on the day for the first few games - f I’m entertained and optimistic about the direction MT is taking us I’ll probably carry on match by match. If it continues to be as crap as it’s been in recent months I’ll probably spend more time on the golf course instead. Very sensible eric ! 💙

Yes if the brief is to have a the consistency of a young squad sprinkled with a few old heads then with Wilson (35), Martin (35), Hunt (33), Ward (29) and potentially another 35 year old if Sinclair accepts the new deal that would suggest the “sprinkling” is complete and a 34 year old Sercombe wouldn’t fit the bill. If Scotty decides our offer is not good enough then there might be room for Sercs return.

Anybody else surprised Hoole, Sinclair and Rossiter are all only considering our offers, does that mean the offers are so low that they are seriously considering their options?

Anybody else surprised Hoole, Sinclair and Rossiter are all only considering our offers, does that mean the offers are so low that they are seriously considering their options? I recall in previous seasons the indication of whether offered contracts would be accepted or not was already known but not published immediately, instead being drip fed through what is notoriously a slow news month for clubs whose season is not extended by playoffs involvement

Can't comment on the youngsters, but agree with the list completely.
