Not clear if this Sky Sports + will be available for Virgin users. Will be annoyed if it isn’t as it still costs a fortune and we miss out on things like the Atlantic channel which airs House of the Dragon. Looks like it will be. www.cordbusters.co.uk/virgin-media-ee-tv-sky-sports-plus/Thanks. Still seems a little unclear to me though If I’m interpreting it correctly the older boxes and standard channels might only support what’s broadcast but if you have the newer 360 box (which I do) then you can stream. So I think it’s ok. And if it’s not I’ll hold virgin responsible.

Yes I think you are right. Those on older virgin boxes can access sky sports via the sky sport app which has been revamped into Sky Sports + so should be able to access the additional games there, still not as good as watching it on the box though.

Yes, that's the point I was trying to make, not clear if iFollow will be available any more as a service for overseas viewers, irrespective of whether you're actually abroad or via a VPN. Today's announcement on club website which links to EFL site suggests ifollow is no more. Overseas viewers should get access from a different provider, no clarity on how this will work. This is my understanding as well. As an overseas fan I will still be able to watch all of our games, it'll just be on a different platform. It also states that for overseas fans all games that are not exclusively shown by Sky will be available. This was the same rule for iFollow. I assume by this that only if any of our 20+ live games are are chosen for the main event (which is unlikely) then that game wont be available on the new iFollow.

One thing to note about the 20 live games a season, please anyone correct me if I've gone wrong: First and last games of the season, the 3pm blackout is being lifted. Easter Friday, Easter Monday, Boxing Day, New Years Day - no 3pm blackout. International breaks, of which there are usually 4 - no 3pm blackout on Saturdays. So that's 10 matchdays that will always be 3pm even if selected for TV. On top of that: We played 11 night/evening KO games this season outside of the above. Obviously that number per season will depend on how many postponements there are etc. So that's roughly 20 games unaffected, even if selected. Beyond that, we are left with 26 remaining 3pm kick offs. Now, impossible to say but loosely based on that ratio of 20:26, probably 8 games chosen for TV won't affect kick off time, and 12 will. Stay with me here chaps If a Sat 3pm is moved, it will be either to: Fri 8pm, Sat 12:30pm, Sun 12:30pm. Personally, I do enjoy Friday night games, always seems to be a good atmosphere - but likely that spot will be reserved for the Championship as it currently is. I really don't like 12:30pm kick offs, there's less atmosphere, games seem less intense for some reason - but reality is we may need to see how this pans out for a season. Sometimes I enjoy early kick off as it means having more of my Saturday evening, other times I love the 1pm-2:45pm drinks before the game. Some good news - they're announcing all of the televised games until Jan 1st before the season even starts. Gives some time to plan at least. Too long, didn't read: I think probably 12 saturday 3pms will be moved per club per season. 6 out of 23 home games, and 6 out of 23 away games you'd assume. Great explanation on all of this, and making it easier to understand on this podcast I listened to yesterday. I'm sure I've messed up above or missed something because the lads at Not The Top 20 seem to think it'll only be 5 or 6 Saturday 3pms affected. Time will tell I guess!

Thanks Fetch, I thought the opening games would be moved from 3pm though? Hope you are right.

Yes, listened to that podcast yesterday and it had a good explanation. I think they're right in that out of the 20 odd games a club in leagues 1 and 2 may be televised then about 17 or 18 of these will either be played at 3pm, evenings or the usual ko times for Christmas/Easter periods. So in reality we're probably only talking about 5 or 6 games being lunchtime kickoffs or Sundays.
