Those moaning for the sake of it clearly have three choices: 1) Use your phone. 2) Buy a card for £15 3) Get a refund Seems there are three reasonable options now. How’s the fundraiser doing? How many are you gonna be able to help out? Not bad. The group I identified are now able to have cards.

When I spent the afternoon trying buy a season ticket in April, a bit like the old Kryton Factor. I had three options regarding physical tickets. First attempt the website told me it was a £10 cost for the card. With a box to tick if I wanted it. I was unsure but then the purchase descended into chaos and I was timed out. The next attempt I had a box to tick if I wanted a card but it was greyed out. Anyway that attempt to buy two season tickets failed so I was timed out again. On the attempt the box had disappeared altogether but at least I did get the season tickets. Well I assumed I have, who knows!! Email Pete. Sounds like he will give you a refund.

Receive the card as per conversation at time of renewal. There was absolutely no mention whatsoever of any charge, but I was told that my new card would be delivered at a later date. That was part of the arrangement, and I expect the Club to abide by it. I hate RIP off merchants. Always have done, always will. Problem is, you have no evidence that conversation took place. Email Pete. Sounds like he will give you a refund.

The club have made it clear if you're not prepared to pay the £15 then they are prepared to refund you and so cancel your season ticket, nobody is ripping you off. I renewed my season ticket in good faith and was told that my card would be sent to me at a later date. The £15 plastic card charge was added after this transaction. If they are expecting me to pay this, that is tantamount to be ripped off. I am still expecting to receive this as per the original agreement. Once again I will repeat. I tell no lies.

Thanks for your email and we will pass your feedback on to the owners. Just for clarity at no point during the season ticket renewal stage for season 24/25 was it communicated that we would be issuing new physical cards or old cards would be renewed and the club are providing digital season cards for free at no additional cost, physical cards will be at a cost of £15 There will come a point where the club becomes fully digital, potentially next season and cards will no longer be issued but that will be a gradual process hence why for at least this season cards will be offered There are no plans for the board to change this policy. If you would like a refund I can arrange this for you Thanks Pete It’s a bit like flogging a dead horse at this stage, but the problem with that response is surely that whilst the paragraph starting. “Just for clarity…..” states that they did not communicate about issuing new physical/ renew old cards neither was there any indication that things were changing after renewal as they have done. It’s surely a relevant fact to communicate prior to purchase? Ah well…..onwards. This was discussed on the other thread. The only time cards were mention in the T's and C's was for the 22/23 season tickets.

It's reasonable to charge for a physical card because it costs a lot more to provide them. Manufacturing, admin, handling, packing, postage.
What isn't reasonable is to introduce the charge after people have paid. It's clearly a decision taken recently or it would have been announced at the time renewals were offered.
This could all have been avoided if someone had planned in advance and told people about the £15 some months ago.
It's all a bit shabby and amateur, but I suppose we're used to that.

Nothing's been added, a digital card is free if you're not prepared to use one then the club will refund you. Even if the club accept that you were told you'd get a card then they'll simply say to rectify the error they'll refund you.

They must have known as they have implemented the system. I wonder who is to blame for this. Answers on a post card to TG for him to fire someone and start yet another (unproved) employees tribunal.

How’s the fundraiser doing? How many are you gonna be able to help out? Not bad. The group I identified are now able to have cards. Strange. The fundraiser page seems to have gone, how much did you raise and why is it not available to view?

At the time I pointed out to the club they had contravened trading standards by adding on a cost after after they had advertised the price, they were not offering a refund. Now they realised the law has probably been broken they are having to offer the refund. As I have said on here before ,they often seem to make a mess of things before getting things right . At least now fans know their rights.

You've not been able to prove any error took place. Maybe you misheard? Maybe they said that your season card will be sent to you via email? This could be your error, not the club's error.

I'm not sure why you can't see it. Did you donate? If you DM me with your donation details, I'll happily tell you how much was donated and the people that will get a card next season.

As a "normal" fan with no smart phone and no email address how does the club propose to issue my season "ticket". Will I be "forced to purchase the card for £15? If the tix was emailed to a friend can it be printed off and scanned at the ticket booth?
