Not many seats left in Blocks E and F of the south stand, with none in the west and just a handful of odd seats in East, you'd better be quick if you want a seat that isnt in the corner under the big screen! Quite staggering the sales over the last couple of weeks. We’re in block f and when I looked two weeks ago there were loads still unsold. And to think, those claiming hardly any were buying ST’s.. I was told we were 1200 down on last season's sales last week. Disappointing really when we have much more seating to sell now. Seems like love him or loathe him Barton put bums on seats with record sales last season.

Pretty sure numbers are down because of the large price increase for some categories & not being able to spread the cost by an instalment plan more than it’s to do with the Barton effect.

My mate , used to use the instalment plan via finance but he recently went and got himself an interest free credit card through his bank and it actually worked out cheaper. I’m certain someone on here mentioned it to me when I said about the finance option no longer being available.

Id say it's a bit of both imo. There was certainly more excitement and anticipation about the place when he was in charge than there is now. But I agree the lack of finance option and price increases would have an impact too.

There was a lot of anticipation going into last season as many fans bought into Barton’s snake oil salesman tosh that his players were going to be genuine promotion hopefuls . In reality we were sold a pack of lies as the group he assembled were miles of being good enough. Going into this season expectations are much more realistic or even subdued, so it’s to be expected that season ticket sales aren’t quite as good.

I have zero expectations for this season , which is a good thing as I think we may actually have a relatively good season.

Pass at the back, pass at the back, pass back to the keeper, pass to a defender, pass back to the keeper. *YAWN*

Far better second half of last season where we never had the ball and went weeks on end without scoring any goals. Yawn !!

That's probably because JB had convinced himself he had built a side ready for a promotion push. I've simply no idea where MT sees us ending the season. If we did PR then we certainly wouldn't be Carling!

And then went on to sell an all time record number of season tickets that summer such was the feel-good factor around the club which doesn't seem to be there under this manager. But the Barton haters don't like to talk facts.

I put it to you that the reason season tickets are down this season is due to the fan base being lied to last season about making a promotion push by the incumbant manager. That felt like the manager and the club was taking the p.ss out of the fans. Then when that manager proved he could talk the talk but not walk the walk, fans got annoyed.

We ended the season terribly and had an overall poor To average season. Then all of a sudden we produce record season ticket sales. Even more than under lauded managers Darryl Clarke Ian Holloway Gerry Francis Etc etc etc There's no denying the fact the feel good factor around the club under Barton was far far better than under Taylor. He gave us all hope. Which reflected in sales. I'm not anti Taylor. But his football team so far has driven away fans in their hundreds not encouraged ticket sales. Let's hope he turns that around with his players this season.

Hardly backed by attendances. Yes we had reduced capacity but still got nowhere near. 7300 and 7100 for his last two home games hardly says an excited fan base.
