East stand bar horrendous at half time, got served as the players were coming back out for the second half.
3 bar staff not a single pint pre poured, it’s like the club don’t want to make money.
From 20 mins before halftime they should be pouring pints, have at least a hundred ready in advance of people coming in.

We’ve seen it at loads of other grounds where there’s a whole line and stack of pre poured pints which are gone within minutes. No idea why we don’t do the same. |

It’s been the same complaint about the bars for years.
The catering huts worked much better yesterday. I’d rather have a cup of fountain drink than an overpriced bottle but it sped things up massively - although not sure they’re supposed to be giving them out with the lids on! Big fan of getting piglets back the sausage roll was fantastic compared to the sh**e served up last season.

The Thatchers bar was awful yesterday had no staff until a few more turned up about an hour before kick off and needed showing the ropes. The was no Thatchers dry no wine and a very limited soft drinks option. The Thatchers Gold was flat and tasted awful so gave up after 1 pint.
We have had a long break this season and plenty of time to get things sorted and make improvements but to turn up to this was a bit disappointing and if things don't improve I will take my custom back down Gloucester Road.
The food was decent so not all doom and gloom and we won UTG

Why did we have to wait until the 91st minute, before we scored a goal?
Why couldn`t we have been 4-0 up after 10 minutes, then we could have relaxed safe in the knowledge that three points were coming our way.

I thought the tension was good and made the win even more enjoyable.
The bar situation is ridiculous. Loads of events I’ve been to have trays of pints lined up at the back ready to hand out when the rush comes.
Nobody has moaned about the toilets yet? Did they have a summer clean then? Haven’t been near them in years.

Thatchers bar. They really need to pay someone a decent wage to guide the newbie staff. Being organised will get punters in and more than cover the cost.
South stand P.A. system. Could see it, couldn't hear it.
The sun, annoying for 20 mins of the 2nd half.

It was apparently decided in the close season, that for a 5.30pm kickoff the bar won't open until 3pm, and for a 3pm kickoff it won't open until 12pm. Must have lost several hundreds, if not thousands of pounds to all the pubs in the area. Not communicated to the fans, even their own staff didn't know. Biggest own goal for a while.
Last season for 3pm kickoff, bar was serving at 11am.

I thought Sky sports coverage, even with the commentary was good I just hope they cover the subsequent matches until the ref blows his whistle at least.
