Couple more weeks before both fitness and form have to be L1 standard sharp but you’d have to say on the clips we’ve seen and the match stream itself SS7 appears to be well ahead of the rest, I guess that’s the higher standard of football under his belt that sees him maintain quality better off- season. Let's hope he hasn't used up his season's goal quota!!

Had a great looking pre season and some were very excited, maybe a tad overexcited, at what he would do to league 1. Didn't really fully materialise, hopefully will turn out better this season 🤞

With that mixed team I thought we were the better team. Awful pitch tho with ball not really rolling well. Good workout, on to the next!

Embarrassing goal. What was the keeper doing? Wardy would have had that.

I didn't see the game but it doesn't sound too encouraging.
For those that did:
GK - A bit of a concern. At least partly at fault for the first, and possibly the second? Did Jed look more assured in the second half?
Defence - Difficult to know who will be part of our first choice defence, but you'd assume Hunt and Taylor-Moore will be. How did they do? Would it be fair to say Ellison looked out of his depth and Wilson not very convincing either? Is Bilongo as good defensively as he is going forward?
Midfield - How was Lindsay on his first outing? Did anyone other than Shaw have a decent game in the middle?
Attack - How was Omochere on his first outing? Did any of our attacking players have a good game?
What were the biggest postives and biggest negatives to take from the game?

Still early days, but the only nailed on starters (fitness allowing) on 10th August for me are
Griffiths Moore Hunt Hutchinson Omochere
2 from Conteh/Lindsay/Ward 2 more from Taylor, Mola, Forbes and Wilson
Making a good play to start:
Bilongo McCormick Shaw Sinclair Thomas
Getting towards last chance saloon:
Wilson Brown Connolly
3 more friendlies, lots to be answered

Hope its not gonna become another one of these season we get a young keeper from leagues above who are manager feels he must start when hes no better than our own young keeper

Let’s support him, build his confidence, not destroy him or we could end up destroying to young keepers if Jed’s brought in to early

We're bound to be a bit behind other teams, with so many of our players returning late from the Euros

Sorry but Senior is nailed on to start he has been our best player so far sorry, knew I'd forget one!! Good call Agree with all that … Last chance saloons is spot on too … Brown did close down well without making a challenge but he scuttles around like Manuel and a baby fawn mixture- no bite. Connolly and Wilson can both go asap - if I win the Make me a Winner call tonight I will pay up their contracts ( if the wife will let me )

I'm sure they are just waiting for him to make a mistake so they can call for Ward to be put in.

Apart for the first goal when he came for a cross he had no chance of getting to, he was fine as far as I am concerned. Definately not at fault for their second and made a fine stop when the defence was awol yet again. As far as Ward was concerned, one regulation catch from a high ball and I could have kept goal for the rest of that game without conceding.
