Good, honest assessment of the pre-season and what Matt Taylor expects from the squad. I'm one who needs to be convinced by him, but he speaks well here and not sure where the "boring" moniker comes from. Seemed perfectly frank and lucid to me.

MT speaks well here, seems positive and ready to go. A couple more in, and a couple more out, and a mostly fit squad to choose from.
Dynamic and running seem key words, let's hope we see it on Saturday.

Gets my vote.People moaned about Joey understandably but this chap is his anthisises and seems good to me.Considered replies and no emotive promises.Love the emphasis he puts on 'Character' too.

Seems a good bloke and I quite enjoy listening to him. I think the 'boring' tag came at the time of the unwanted club record of consecutive games without scoring and awful football we had to endure. That was certainly boring to me, but that is all in the past now and I'm looking forward to seeing what can be achieved with this young squad that's been built. Good luck to Matt and the players. Good interview, sounded like a little dig about some of last season’s squad and the attitude of a few. The way they seemed to coast over the second half of last season you could only agree with.
Let’s hope for better from this lot !

Looks so much more relaxed and happy now. Players (and coaches) all on board with what he is trying to do i'd imagine. Fans will forgive a lot if we have passion, energy and speed in the way we play.
No guarantees of success, but I like everything about the way we have gone about things since the end of last season.
First 3 games should give most of the squad an opportunity to impress, lets see who takes it.

Great interview and a great attitude. I'm very pleased he's here and rebuilding the squad and am optimistic of a top 10 finish. Last season was a disappointment but they weren't really his players. This time he can take all the credit - and blame!

Enjoyed that interview and there was certainly a bit of shade thrown onto some of last seasons players ( and rightly so ) like others have said I like how he alluded to ‘character’ on more than one occasion and he seems a lot less stressed. A fresh clean slate for Taylor and this new lot of young guns , I feel quite upbeat after listening to that and I can’t wait to get back down there on Saturday , it’s going to be a tough old season with the quality in the league this season and like Taylor says it may take a bit of time to gel so we must be patient and stick with them. Here’s to another bumpy old ride UTG !!!

UTG!!! 💙 Agree completely. I do think we will struggle massively until November time. Almost every side that has been completely rebuilt like we have done 9 times out of 10 always do. We really do have to stick with them team and manager if that's the way it goes. Can't wait for Saturday now. Utg. |

He came across really well sounding more relaxed and confident about the season ahead. He’s been supported by the owners and he’s got a chance to create his own team and way of playing. I hope he’s now given time to grow the team without too much expectation.
I like the guy and he appears to talk common sense. So cautiously optimistic at the moment but then I always am every season before we kick off! This week is the only week in the year when all 92 clubs can dream of winning it. Saturday at 5.30 or whenever it will have changed.

Welcomed MT to the club , and we got some great results early on , but the fall off last season left me wondering whether this guy was out of his depth.
Best interview I've seen from him , and the demeanor is totally different. Obviously he was frustrated last season , poss things we will never know , but
new season new slate as far as I'm concerned. New faces in looking like they want to play for him , so lets wish him all the best.
A CF in before the window shuts and I'm happy..UTG
