I am currently paying £20 pm for NowTV Sky Sports which works well on iPhone, Windows PC and smart TVs (ie those with NowTV app installed or via NowTV usb stick), also on BT/EE TV box. Needs a good internet/wifi connection for HD. Can I ask where you got this Now TV deal from please? Best I found for it so far was £26 a month for the first 6 months when it then goes to the usual £33 I took a NowTV 6m Sky Sports subscription offer in August 2023 at £27pm, having bought many 24 hour passes previously. In January 2024 I was offered a further 6m at £25pm, which I took. In June 2024 I noticed (on my account details page on the website) that my 'offer' had been extended to January 2025 at £20pm. I've no idea of what I will be offered in January, I would be surprised if it will be full price. I have been buying day and month NowTV subscriptions for 5+ years, maybe I get generous offers as a regular customer? I notice that NowTV are currently offering a £26pm for a '12 month minimum term' on their website, other offers may exist or may happen. I would think that you could cancel your subscription and bank standing order at any time without any problems.

I assume Sky Sports plus only gives coverage of live games so would still need BRTV for the majority of games, assuming you are overseas. Lets just assume that Sky don't show us more than the minimum 20 times. I am guessing that most League one and two clubs will only be on 20 times and the Championship clubs will get a lot more air time. Then lets assume we do poorly in the cups and get knocked out tomorrow and don't make it out of the group in the Pizza cup. That then leaves 16 of our 46 league games to be shown on Sky. If we do better in the cups then I guess we will have even less league games being shown. I don't think too many supporters used BRTV for the first game, but that will change this weekend when we are not on Sky+

If the club used the correct software they can easily stop any VPN from working... i bet they are happy for the extra income our "overseas" VPN users generate The club couldn't stop someone 'hacking' the TV and putting Babestation on around the ground. There was(is?) only one sky box to police and they couldn't even do that! I don't think for a second we are in control of the infrastructure for Rovers TV. It looks like most teams have changed to the new website layout and the <insertnameofteam>TV. It’s very generic. The ‘hacking’ was a very sophisticated and well planned operation - someone got hold of the remote in the Thatchers bar.

This is quite funny. You haven't lost anything, you shouldn't have had access in the first place you naughty boy/girl. If the club used the correct software they can easily stop any VPN from working... i bet they are happy for the extra income our "overseas" VPN users generate The annoying and apparently random blocking of VPN connections to iFollow that plagued some of us 2+ seasons ago seem to have died out (?), also internet connectivity and wifi has improved. It seems that BRFC now take a bigger £ slice of higher BRTV subscriptions that they did from iFollow, so I doubt that there will be too much effort to block and annoy BRTV paying customers, assuming a reliable and legal VPN service is used. Eventually the EFL and the clubs will realise that online customers that are currently wasting money on VPNs would prefer to buy online tickets without geo-blocking for a quality service at a reasonable price where almost all of the fan's money goes to the club they support. The contractual details with media giants like Sky & BT involved will be complicated to overcome, but online streaming of all EFL games to UK located customers seems inevitable. Don't worry there will still be many thousands who prefer the atmosphere, excitement and involvement of being at the stadium, as I did for more than 50 years. Nowadays its online streaming for me or nothing.

I heard the used the remote from their phone, back in the days of infra-red output from your mobile. They'd forgotten to turn that one box around (set up for smuttyness if required).

Although a Sky customer it appears to me that although I can watch Rovers games when broadcast on Sky, I will miss out on a significant number of games because of the loss of ifollow via a VPN. Looking at the club website only overseas supporters on production of an overseas address can purchase access to all games. I am registered with BRTV and purchased streams for all the four friendlies that were streamed on that platform. Hopefully someone can confirm my thoughts right or wrong? This is quite funny. You haven't lost anything, you shouldn't have had access in the first place you naughty boy/girl. I quite obviously know using a vpn was naughty using your words. What I am trying to establish is on a match that is not being shown via Sky , is it possible to enter BRTV using a vpn, not give an address and purchase a game? A personal message on this from anyone on here will suffice, Thankyou.

Can you still bung the turnstile operator a few quid to get in cheap rather than all this online jiggery pokery ? And is Babestation on the big screen ?
Asking for a friend.

Surely you could pay one of the house owners on the road behind the West, to let you walk through their garden and over the fence every home game. Maybe suggest this to yer pal. 👍

I was 7 when our Dad started taking me and my big brother to Eastville. I've never forgiven him for it. With him coming from Barton Hill, there was only ever going to be one place for us Bullock brothers.

If your going to watch Rovers on BRTV regularly then you may as well just got a half or full season ticket, do we have that many genuine overseas fans to offer them so many options, or are they really aimed at the VPN crowd?

Genuine overseas fans will probably buy a full or half season. The monthly and match by match is probably a nod to UK based virtual tourists.

Use a VPN to fool Sky Sports into thinking you're in the UK? If not then I assume a Cardiff match will be broadcast somewhere on the web if you know where to look 😉

Exile in Vancouver, paid my £180( $326 Canadian dollars). So far Brfc tv seems better than Ifollow. No ads at half time although I have had to listen to Radio Bristol drone on about the teds.

I haven't paid the £180 just yet. I was a little disappointed there were no replays during the game on Saturday, at least iFollow had them. Can you go back and watch full match replays?
