Drop Bilongo after an impressive league debut? Plus Bilongo has been here since the start of pre season and has settled in. Sousa has to earn his spot and should start on the bench. He didn't look ready for senior football last season, although that was in a higher league. My thinking was we might need more defensively away to Rotherham, he was a great outlet against the Northampton tactics. But you are right, I have now idea how good Sousa is! Definitely want to stick to a back 3 with Mola LCB tho. Glad its not my call! If he wants to go more defensive, he can move Mola to wing back and put Forbes on the left of the 3. It's good to have options though! Sousa is more of an attacking full back as well and looks quite lightweight. Although I've only seen him live once🤣. So he might have been against a strong winger then. |

Personally when everyone is fully up to speed I can't see where Thomas gets into the starting line up he just dosent deliver often enough. dont understand who we are waiting to get up to speed. are we saying that Thomas would be dropped for players we've barely seen play? Sotiriou and Martin will be back in soon and up to speed and will play with Promise and Sinclair gets in ahead being the captain and Senior is definitely better at RWB or RB and Hunt when fit will play there as well. Where does LT fit in as the left side seems to be filled now as well. |

Recall when we were in the Conference the team travelled to Altrincham on the day of the game and got stuck on the M6 due to traffic at a pop Festival near Wolverhampton.I lived in Staffs at the time so was only an hour away.Their ground wasn't far from Manchester Airport.Anyway when they announced they had asked permission to add a sub AFTER the team sheets were handed in,the reason given was,'He can't get time off work'.Welcome to non league football I thought.
Think it may have been Ryan Brunt's last game.He had a stinker in an awful match.So pleased we didn't stay for longer in the Conference.Braintree and Alfreton were equally dreadful experiences but we did have some very good days out,often outnumbering home fans like Nuneaton in the fog.
Optimistic for tomorrow.

Jury is still out on Thomas for me... I really do like him and seems like a nice kid - but his end product really isn't great... Definitely would be a really good player if he could sort out his final ball and finishing but does leave a lot to be desired sometimes. Personally when everyone is fully up to speed I can't see where Thomas gets into the starting line up he just dosent deliver often enough. He deliverd more assists than 89.8% of his positional peers in League One last season and already has an assist from the first game this season. |

If Thomas can't get in the side we'll be back to watching GC type football without JCH's goal, every success team needs at least one player like Thomas. Apart from his winning goal corner on Saturday I'm pretty sure it was his sublime past which put PC though on goal on Tuesday for our only real decent scoring opportunity. |

I’d be playing a back four of Senior, Moore, Taylor & Mola as often as possible but I suspect MT will go with a flat back five this Saturday.
I’d have Thomas on the right wing, possibly Sinclair on the left although not ideal as I don’t think he offers much as a starter, possibly Garrett alongside Conteh in the middle with Hutchinson in behind Promise.

Agree, the most frustrating player I can remember watching in a long time but I doubt he'd be playing for Rovers if his decision making wasn't a bit iffy. By far our best player and a bag of tricks . Particularly when cutting inside. Sadly I don't think other players read his passes and are too slow to connect. For me he would be the first on the team sheet every week. I second that too! Baffled how some are even slating him. |

Also look at the precision in his corner taking and the goal on saturday . Nearly every other player can't beat the first man at near post when taking coners. If I had 10 attempts I’d get one right eventually. No one is knocking his work ethic and his potential. Just question marks on his end product which I think is a fair assessment having seen him for 2 full seasons in the blue and white quarters. And again as mentioned by a few, if his end product was more consistent we wouldn’t be able to keep hold of him. Really hope with a run of games he can fulfil his potential with us. |
