A hard fought and at times backs to the wall performance, but a good result away from home against one of the bookies faves. We'll need to be better with the ball in future, but plenty of positives to build on. Well done Rovers. UTG.

I would like to see Luke Thomas more central behind the strikers if I'm honest.

If we do manage to sign another striker before the window closes, we need to work out how to get the ball up to them. At the moment we don't seem to have any idea.
We're very solid at the back again. Not many people are demanding Wilson's head anymore, so maybe he just needed someone else to shoulder some of the heavy lifting.

Decent result but a boost needed in the final third.

He’s already got one foot in the grave 😁. Well done Gas, excellent point against hoof ball bullies 👍

Bloody good point.
There won’t be many harder away fixtures this season and we’ve gone away with a clean sheet.
Need to start scoring goals but if we keep defending like that we won’t need to be too prolific to have a good season. Martin to recover from his injury and Omochere and Sotiriu to settle in and then we can push on.

The back 6 looks stronger than last season but we're still struggling to make chances upfront, if it wasn't for BB's injury time winner it would be 3 games without a goal, which follow s on from last season's record breaking run
Will this be MT's Achilles Heel or can he find a way to get the team creating more chances/scoring goals?
Dropping Shaw from the squad today after his cameo performance on Tuesday was plain odd.

It wasn't pretty but I don't care, our season will not be defined by our results away to the promotion contenders but by results against those around us (like Northampton). So, with that said, delighted with a battling point and another clean sheet. We look solid and organised in both league games. Just need to figure out the best way to get the attack firing now. My thoughts are it would be with two wide men either side of Promise and not another striker and attacking midfielder in a narrow formation. Get Senior in and Thomas further up away to Stockport (who will be a very tough game, btw). I can't recall Thomas playing anywhere but on the left wing under MT? Whereas Barnsley regularly played him in the No 10 role. It'll be interesting to see how Shaw plays on Tuesday as if he was another decent game surely he's pressing for a position on the bench ahead of McCormick. Genuine question but have you watched us this season? You've commented elsewhere about LT being on the left... he's literally played RWB in all three games.

How can he watch us when he spends 24/7 on here the man doesn’t even sleep! 😂

Nice day out, nice pub meal before hand, a few beers and kids off thier phones for a few hours. Nice ground, and "proper" supporters.
Really impressed with keeper and back 3 today. Like the look of Promise. Need to work out the positions in between though. Hopeful Garrett or Lindsay may be part of the answer to that. Also liked the way he used subs to proactively change things
Clearly Rotherham had the better of the game but I felt comfortable watching us, which was nice. Point away, more than happy
Weirdly long clap fro fans and team at end of game.Hopefully the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
Headed back down the motorway now. Kids back on phones. UTG

It was clearly a typo when LT's spent his entire Rovers career on the right wing, although now certain posters seem to want to turn him into a No 10.

An astonishing away point against another big boot side . Actually rhought we played the better football and possibly created the best two chances with quality football, The whole defence throughout were magnificent as was the keeper.Steve Evans teams are notprious for signing the best players around and hoofing the ball up to them. The very side we would have lost about 5-0 last season.m How about a sneaky bid fo Sam Numbe.Dont see how anybody can be critical of that as every player gave their all and had to play agaibst the referee as well. Well done the players and Management. Could still do qwith two more attacking players to balance the overall squad.

You can’t really complain about other posters being pedantic with you after you’ve spent the last decade trying to argue every minor point with everyone on here.

Good managers sort the defence first and build. Decent start. Stockport away will be a right old test. Signs are good.
