Senor looks a good signing we need to start him next game and play Luke Thomas as one of our 10s

Hall wouldn’t have saved a penalty even if it was rolling along the floor at 2mph That's it in a nutshell.

Personally I thought Senior was really poor…and I’ve been expecting him to start games after what I saw and liked pre season.
But tonight he was really sloppy in possession and made some terrible decisions in possession. He had a pass completion of 46% which for a defender is really poor as well as losing possession 19 times which was more than any other player other than Anthony!

Entertaining watch that, really should have been all over in first 20 mins and even after that we've missed enough chances to win 2 games. We looked shaky when Spurs counter attacked, to be fair to Hall he's made some decent saves, unfortunately as a keeper the 2 mistakes he made cost us goals. Thought Hutchinson looked a lot brighter, both Anthony & Sousa had some really good moments but Shaw for me was the biggest plus. Yes he gave the ball away at times but everything he does is positive, he's brave enough to make mistakes trying to make things happen. He's got a really bright future

Essentially another preseason game. We left a few gaps at the back but that might just have been the low stakes situation in the second half.
Shaw looked good amongst a few bits of attacking quality. I think we may need to give Hutchinson a few games to find his feet - I'll keep comparing him to Evans which may be a poisoned chalice. He can pick a pass, scored a goal, but had a few almost moments which suggests to me there's more to come.
Discussing mcormick in the stands asking what actually are his strong qualities and he goes and puts one in.
On the whole I think we've got more exciting attacking options this season. They may go on and off the boil but there's enough of them for someone to be stepping up each game.

Bit more exciting to watch though and can work if the defence is as solid as it has been on the league so far.

I don’t c what JB ever saw in Matt Hall he is totally useless I thought that was part of the plan, if our No 1 is ever injured we just bring in a decent replacement as Hall is useless/as no league experience?

Shaw showing some real quality for his age, amazing that he is only 17. Like the look of Anthony, he's got something about him.

Enjoyed that tonight … very encouraged by some of our new guys.
Lots of positives and a good few negatives … Hutchison looked better in spells, Shaw very good, Sotiriou lively at times … Sousa and Anthony looked good, Senior too.
McCormick is a ‘No’ from our group tonight … does not do enough overall , distribution was awful at times but he then goes and scores. Chris Martin looked very sluggish and needs time, Jake Garrett was very disappointing - not sure he even wants to be here.No surprise he missed the penalty. Feel a bit for our young keeper - some good stops but at fault for two goals tonight.
We are starting to look like a decent side going forward … our first choice defence would have had few issues tonight.
Still need that Striker though ….10 days to go ! …. Bet we see a keeper first .

Kofi had a much better second half and a great moment for him to score his goal.
He did show why he won’t be involved just yet though. At the moment he’s playing on sheer energy and enthusiasm and makes a host of mistakes both in and out of possession. I genuinely feel he should go on loan in National South which would then allow him to stay with the squad all week training.
As I’ve said I thought Senior was quite poor, as was Garret who I expect much more from. Macca had some moments but nowhere near enough from him given his age / experience and who he was up against.
Good minutes for Martin and Soteriou.
Antony is a livewire who got better but his end product was terrrible and I thought Sousa had some good moments too.
Hutchinson was our best player by a mile. I felt he was let down sometimes by decision making around him but a goal, an assist, a scored penalty, played the most passes and created at least two other clear chances. However as with Macca I’d really expect him to be a stand out in this type of game but it looked like just what he needed.

Don’t believe for a second he’ll be considered at all for Saturday.

First time I've seen us this season due to being away.....
Hutchinson grew into the game and was much better second half. Anything creative came through him.
Senior a huge upgrade on hoole.
Anthony my mom. Fantastic performance. Full of tricks and energy down that left hand side.
Kofi Shaw won't be with us for more than a couple of seasons. Destined for greater things.
On that note. Their number 47 Moore. What a player he is. Class above everyone on the pitch. Would love him on loan.

But Kofi was getting us up the pitch. Some of the skills he performed, even running at pace, was really good. He also scored and put in a fantastic cross for Martin in the first half, which Martin should have scored. I think it was first time, into the right area and when pace. We shouldn't be loaning him at the moment. Doesn't the non league market stay open anyway? So might as well give him some chances off the bench and so how he does.

Surprisingly positive atmosphere tonight.
Enjoyable and truly competitive match.
Plenty of Gas players impressed.
Spurs had some really talented players. Striker, 42, is clever and has eye for goal.
Three of our starters did not have the best of games and have to improve if they want first team football.
Three players shone. It is marvellous to have quality players who could seamlessly slot into the first team this season.
Much happier with the balance of this squad than in recent seasons. Not getting carried away but things are looking up. UTG.

I went tonight & have to disagree with more or less everything you have written here. Hutchinson made copious errors himself which you have glossed over & you seem extremely critical of Shaw in 3 posts tonight alone; for someone so young an inexperienced he did very well in my opinion & I’d say the vast majority who watched. Garrett was largely anonymous, we agree on that.

I’m not saying it to his detriment to as a criticism of where he is right now its completely expected that he’s full of energy enthusiasm and risk taking but also full of mistakes and wrong decisions….. The only way of ironing those out is time and playing against adults and in competitive football. Two things he won’t be in a position to do regularly just yet, here. A loan into part time non league is only a youth loan and can be recalled and restarted against at any point, it’s not fixed and it then allows him to be under the umbrella of the staff and first team players each day at training here. Best of both worlds. He’s a talent for sure but unless you want him ironing it all those youthful faults on a Saturday here while we lose games and sit in the bottom 6 then a loans the best thing for him.

Garrett was largely anonymous, we agree on that. As someone else just said, all players make mistakes. Hutchinson had a very slow start to the game and gave the ball away a couple of times early on in terrible areas. As someone else said I think he could’ve done better for their first goal too. However I think “copious mistakes” and “glossed over” is a bit much. He played the most accurate passes in the team and had a 100% dribble success as well as a goal and an assist and highest chance creation for others. He was also playing out of position as a holding player not an attacking one. He wasn’t perfect by any means and I did say I’d have expected him to stand out in this game whereas Shaw was playing against players of similar stages in their careers and I’ve said numerous times things that he did well. Any criticism is only meant as constructive it’s defo not meant as destructive. I do however bow to the fact you were at the game and I watched on TV so I think you get a far better view on the game from being in the stadium 👍
