Wonder what sort of side we’ll field for this game? Guessing there will be lots of changes and players we’ve not seen a lot of yet getting some game time.
How many changes are we allowed to make from the last league game?
Are we still boycotting? Does my watching on sky + make me a scab ?

Despite some fans boycotting since the U21 teams have been involved, the competition is still going.
If fans want to continue that's up to them but can't see anything changing. May be different if an U21 team made the final and the opposition fans decided to as a protest but probably unlikely many fans wouldn't want to miss a day out at Wembley. Could even be argued that the inclusion of U21 teams makes the competition more financially viable.

Tuesday a really good opportunity to get some fringe players and returning players involved. Need some goals and chances for confidence too.

Does anybody know what's happened to Hall, is he on his way this week or was he out injured yesterday? The last thing we need is JG getting injured in an EFL Trophy game.

A keeper needs to be named in the starting 11 in at least 5 EFL games before they're considered "professional". If a club doesn't have a "professional" keeper available they can apply for an emergency loan. EFL Trophy games don't count.

Always believed that this competition is a total waste of time but maybe this season it might be a good opportunity to play different players and work out our best team. We need more time for our team to gel so this is a bonus for us and it doesn't matter if we get stuffed. We can learn a lot about our team even if we lose.

We need more time for our team to gel so this is a bonus for us and it doesn't matter if we get stuffed. We can learn a lot about our team even if we lose. Totally disagree, great opportunity to watch our new players and the Tottenham youngsters; after the trip to Rotherham and 90 minutes of hoof ball, it will be a pleasure to hopefully watch two sides who will want to create and pass the ball around on the grass, really looking forward to the match. |

The referee for this one has already sent off 2 players this season, and given out 10 yellows in 2 games

Looking forward to this one …
The tournament represents Our only chance of getting close to a Wembley final and also a chance to build real momentum at an important time of the season .
Looking forward to seeing some new faces especially those who could force their way into the match day squad ousting a few who have started very slowly.

Who cares option is a bit naive Take it for what it is, reserve team football keeping legs turning over As long as it stays as it is, and isn't an experiment regarding B Teams in the FL or some other nefarious plan, then I suppose it's ok, especially as you say for trying out alternative players. Not sure why anyone would pay to watch Spurs teenagers though. |
