Much as this competition is controversial, it does give second string players minutes. Who cares option is a bit naive Take it for what it is, reserve team football keeping legs turning over As long as it stays as it is, and isn't an experiment regarding B Teams in the FL or some other nefarious plan, then I suppose it's ok, especially as you say for trying out alternative players. Not sure why anyone would pay to watch Spurs teenagers though. Chances are one ot two might make it. If you attended games in the past you could have seen Declan Rice in person for a tenner. I would have thought with travel and ticket costs it would cost you a hundred to see him play live now. Not sure if Troy Parrott is well above the u21 level but they must have done very talented youngsters, so will be a good match to guage Kofi, Ellison, Lawrence, Dewsbury etc if they play

Many overlook some issues with the concept of B teams in the EFL, home ground and no fans, well very few. It may work in the minor leagues in some countries, but EFL clubs have massive histories and passionate followings home and away that other countries can't match. I still say that these premier league academies throw a massively disproportionate amount of money at their set up for the genuine talent that breaks into their first team. Many young players are being conned into believing they are onto something. These players should be getting out into EFL clubs and get their football that way and not playing exhibition football in Premier League 2. Get out and be a real footballer.

I'd like to see: Griffiths Ellison-Taylor-Forbes Anthony-Lindsay-Garrett-Sousa Hutchinson-Shaw Martin You'd risk Griffiths in the EFL Trophy?? I would rather stick Jevani Brown in nets than that. Surely this is an opportunity for Matt Hall to finally get some minutes. Barring an injury/suspension to Griffiths that would seem his only hope...

I would still play him over Griffiths in the EFL Trophy FFS Do we all not remember the Jaakkola incident in 2020?

I’m pretty sure Hall can catch a football. Ive seen him in the warm ups and he looks like he’s knowledgeable about the role.
Would be madness if he didn’t play.
I’d like to see us play 2 up front in a 3-5-2
HALL
SENIOR FORBES ELLISON
SOUSA LAWRENCE GARRETT ANTHONY
BROWN
SINCS MARTIN
Minutes for Shaw, Sotoriou, Lindsay and McCormick
If Brown can’t get a game tonight surely that’s the end for him here?

Always believed that this competition is a total waste of time but maybe this season it might be a good opportunity to play different players and work out our best team. We need more time for our team to gel so this is a bonus for us and it doesn't matter if we get stuffed. We can learn a lot about our team even if we lose. Totally disagree, great opportunity to watch our new players and the Tottenham youngsters; after the trip to Rotherham and 90 minutes of hoof ball, it will be a pleasure to hopefully watch two sides who will want to create and pass the ball around on the grass, really looking forward to the match. You don't 'totally' disagree with me.....in fact you agree somewhat apart from my comment about it being a waste of time and the result not mattering. We both agree that it will be useful to see how our new players get on. I would rather we didn't get stuffed but I won't lose any sleep if we do. Now Saturday is a different proposition. 3 points please!

Have they any strikers that will be on the pitch and we could be interested in?

Have they any strikers that will be on the pitch and we could be interested in? Will Lankshear not expected to leave on loan now & if he did a Championship club would likely get him. Jude Soonsup-Bell (terrific name) is possibly getting loaned & could play this eve.

Have we ever had a Spurs player on loan? They’re not one of the clubs you hear about in regards to having lots of youngsters out on loan like say Arsenal or Manchester City.

Sorry if it’s been said elsewhere but despite boycotting, I might like to still see it on the sly (I don’t have anything else to do tonight). Can’t see an option on BRFC tv though.
