Agree we will stick to the back 3 but can put Moore at RB mid game if we need to change it. I'd bring Garrett and Shaw in (for Ward and Martin) to try and do more in the middle. Hutch Shaw and Thomas behind Omochere Garrett has been the most disappointing of all our new signings in my opinion. Offers nothing and doesn't look interested. I don't know whether he's showing up any better in training, but based on his perfomances in matches he probably doesn't even deserve a place on the bench. I thought Lindsay looked decent, is he injured? Agree, to be honest I don’t think any of our central options have stood out yet, Conteh looks solid but McCormick, Ward and Garrett haven’t done enough to say they must start. Getting that balance right in the middle is MT’s biggest job, we could have Haaland up top but would be no good if he gets no service!! UTG

Maybe dropp Hutch into the middle with Conteh then to make room for some more forward minded players?
Griffiths Moore Wilson Mola Thomas Conteh Hutchinson Bilongo Shaw Sotiriou Omochere

Josh Stokes will need to be kept quiet for Cambridge. Came off the bench at half time to make an impact vs Blackpool. Dangerous player who links things nicely between midfield and attack. A game we should be winning though. 🤞 Rough him up a bit the dirty little ted. Hopefully the fans can play a part and make it uncomfortable as possible for him. Who was the ted who shat himself at the Mem and had to be taken off early, Myrie-williams?...another one like that please gasheads

Think its fair to say it won't be a high scoring game. Cambridge are poor, and we aren't much better.
Really need to score some goals - i fear the longer it sits at 0-0 or worse, the knives will really be out for Taylor.
For me, the issue isn't the attackers we got, its the complete lack of movement/pressing we do up the pitch. Sorry to say it but LT's final ball and finishing is so bad.

It could be that LT plays deep, but for me, he like a few others seems to be playing with a little fear, both in running at players and shooting. I think this game is crying out for a youngster like Kofi Shaw to play without fear. Getting an early goal (or two) could be the confidence boost for so many players

Sometimes just chucking in a youngster works and he undoubtedly has talent so why not ? It might just work .

The next logical step for Kofi, imo, will be the games v Swindon and then Exeter. If he can or does impact those games he’ll be closer to a league debut.

Hard for LT to finish or provide assists when he’s spending most of the game in his own half. MT needs to pick him in his most effective position or not at all - trying to just shoehorn him into to the side in a position to which he’s not suited is just unfair and setting him up for a fall.

Gotta change it up Saturday play a 4 at the back and play with proper wingers (LT) Griffiths Moore Wilson Taylor Mola Thomas Ward Conteh Anthony New striker Promise Personally,I wouldn't have Ward in the team at the moment. He looks a shadow of the player he can be.

Very true! Not getting this one about LT at all with Matty Taylor.

Cambridge have a strong squad and also have lofty and gibbons Honestly have no idea what the starting line up will be but it should be a strong team Hoping for lots of turnstiles being turned! UTG Oh yes, if I was a defender I’d be terrified of playing against lofty…. I mean he scored 1 goal in 26 matches last season. He needs to be the centre of Matty Taylor’s team talk. A real Threat on goal is Lofty 😱😱😱.

Agree Ward has looked way off it. Wouldn't mind seeing Garrett alongside Conteh.
