Does he create a poopy atmosphere at matches? There is a boo-boy epidemic at the Mem. This is obvious to anyone willing to be honest about our atmosphere. There were a bunch of older blokes behind me who's only contribution all match was sarcastically chanting "Tote End oldboys" and calling all our players c*nts. They actually told the chanting section to shush at one point. North terrace, middle, slightly left of centre. As Tbone's life seems to revolve around coming on here to call everyone useless, I don't find it hard to believe he's one of them. Obviously I apologize if I'm wrong. I actually think the atmosphere last season was incredible considering the performances on the pitch. And the majority of fans have again been very supportive this season. All teams have a variety of negative and positive fans - not just the Gas. But both types at the Mem are passionate and contribute towards an intimidating atmosphere which is why our home record is so impressive. I'd love to have 6,000 Gasheads constantly cheering the Gas in a positive manner but I'd rather have 6,000 die hards including some who are overly critical, than 3 or 4,000 happy clappers.

If he is one of the boo boys then fair enough but there are people who whinge like hell on here but get behind the team on matchdays.

Yeah I'm sure being called c*nts really lifts the team when they're up against it.

Sick to death of always ending up stood next to tossers.

Sick to death of always ending up stood next to tossers. But isn't this the beauty of terraces? You can move away. I had an old boy with long grey hair near me last time who spent the whole time laughing at Tom Parkes and calling him a useless ****. (Needless to say, Parkes played very well.) He had a little group of acolytes around him who seemed to need to hear it too. Some people just go to vent their frustrations I think and have strange prejudices. That was right of centre, so I moved more to the middle. I saw him in the same spot yesterday.

By telling him not to turn up till we are back in league 1? All Gasheads should be welcomed to the Mem irrespective of what they say on here. You are assuming he hates the football on offer as much as your name suggests! Thanks for the kind words mate. I have been a season ticket holder for many many years and will always watch my team, as I have been doing since my late father took me to Eastville at the tender age of 7. Bloody hell was it really 50 years ago?. I have watched many many very good players pull on the blue and white shirts ( not always quarters). Taylor can not be put in to any category except that of poor. His finishing ability is nothing short of shocking. People are blinded by his running around and apparent ball skills, but once again yesterday I saw misplaced passes and bad ball control in evidence. He is nowhere near good enough. I am sorry if this offends his fans, but that is the way it is. So if we're in the Conference next season and release MT in the summer which other Conference striker is any better assuming Akinde's playing Div 2 football next season?

I havent seen anything that impresses me this season. And that includes Taylor

And that includes Taylor So it's easy to continually slag players off but you haven't a scrooby do of a better Conference player we could sing to replace him. We'd all love to see another Lambert or Hoskins upfront but that isn't going to happen whilst we're a league club. If you wasn't impressed by yesterday's game have you ever thought that watching Rovers might be the wrong hobby for you?

in Germany so missed the game. Came on here to read 10 pages of how we got on. Clearly I know the score, that matty taylor is pooh and not alot else. The Matty taylor argument needs its own thread as it hijacks nearly every topic post match at the moment. Proper boring it is too

Just for the sake of balance, a very skilful bit of play to set up Blisset's goal yesterday puts Matty Taylor clear in the assists table for the season as well as being well clear of his nearest challenger in the goals category. Hard to fault that, isn't it? Well done lad, keep it up.

No I havent got a clue who we should or should have signed I dont go around the country watching different teams play . Thats a scouts job. I will say thus however. I dont think whoever scouted Taylor, is very good at his job.

"Excellent day out. Great to go to a stadium with passionate fans and a large following. That is the sort of place that we need to play at regularly. The thing is that we are not quite good enough to get there. Bristol were by far the best team I have seen this season in both the home and away games. I really expect them to go straight back into the football league, perhaps as champions or through the play-offs. We were second best yesterday. The Gas players were more technically gifter, more athletic and all round better than ours. A simple statement of fact. I thought we did well to force them to change their style after 20 minutes, stopping them getting the ball out wide and hitting early crosses into the box for Blissett to get on the end of didn't work for them. Sadly for us they had the ability to change their game and become more effective. Read more: www.lincoln.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=39681&start=171#ixzz3RG9glkYW

Proper boring it is too You definitely shouldn't believe everything you read - particularly on this or the other forum. Taylor created the majority of our chances on the day and was unlucky not to score a hat-trick (off the line clearances, post and keeper's chin preventing). He also demonstrated real composure for our second goal, when a shot from a difficult angle was the easy option, he checked and squared the ball to create an easy chance for Blissett. He's doing alright if you ask me. tbone is just taking the widdle if you hadn't worked it out...........
