Anyone got a link to the goals from yesterday ? I'd love to see that free kick again, very clever. Cheers

Still agree with TBone! Probably the only one!!! There are more believe me. They just dont post on here. Surrounded by people on the North Terrace shouting "unlucky Matty" and including him in MOTM discussions. Tbone, honestly mate if you hate it so much why not just wait until we're back in League One (or whatever your expectation is) to come again?

Tbone is entitled, it's just hard to take him seriously when: 1. that opinion is so extreme and 2. is never allowed to vary, whatever happens on the pitch and 3. seems to demand far higher standards from Taylor than from any of the other players.
These reasons are why I call it a prejudice rather than a genuine opinion.
Let's agree that he is entitled to his prejudice.

By telling him not to turn up till we are back in league 1? All Gasheads should be welcomed to the Mem irrespective of what they say on here. You are assuming he hates the football on offer as much as your name suggests!

It's not as if forum users can do anything about Taylor missing chances? A troll just posts to get reactions, which surely is what TBone is doing?

You are assuming he hates the football on offer as much as your name suggests! Thanks for the kind words mate. I have been a season ticket holder for many many years and will always watch my team, as I have been doing since my late father took me to Eastville at the tender age of 7. Bloody hell was it really 50 years ago?. I have watched many many very good players pull on the blue and white shirts ( not always quarters). Taylor can not be put in to any category except that of poor. His finishing ability is nothing short of shocking. People are blinded by his running around and apparent ball skills, but once again yesterday I saw misplaced passes and bad ball control in evidence. He is nowhere near good enough. I am sorry if this offends his fans, but that is the way it is.

Not a happy Imp.... I have to drive to Lincoln a lot from the South Coast. I suspect the comments were written after that drive. Its all flat and boring, their team seems the same and they all speak funny. Too close to Hull. No wonder they're watered off.

But is he worse than Blissett or Harrison or Gosling or Monkhouse etc?
edit:(Taylor, that is)

I'm just baffled as to why he bothers turning up when he doesn't have a kind word to say about anyone at the club. We're second in the league and they need SUPPORT.

People are blinded by his running around and apparent ball skills, but once again yesterday I saw misplaced passes and bad ball control in evidence. He is nowhere near good enough. I am sorry if this offends his fans, but that is the way it is. Well, you and I are from a similar era and the good old Eastville days! We have both had the pleasure of witnessing the likes of Warboys and Bannister and a few others who were lethal in front of goal, not forgetting Haaaaarold (Jarman). And then Jason Roberts, Barry Hayles and Marcus Stewart in later years so we have been a bit spoilt. But that was league 1 and higher. We are now non league. So back down to earth and the conference, I think Matt Taylor is becomimg more prolific as the season goes on and has become a top striker at this level. His goalscoring record was dreadful during the first part of the season - 1 goal in the first 14 games was obviously a major cause for concern. But since he scored the winner against Dartford on 7 October he has scored 10 goals in 22 games which is a good strike rate that would be the envy of most top strikers. In my opinion, his contribution throughout 90 minutes has always been first class with his constant running and intelligent hold up play. The only thing he was missing during the opening two months of the season was goals but since the beginning of October his strike rate has been impressive. Yes, he has missed a lot of chances but he is also now taking a lot - even the best strikers miss chances but good strkers get themselves in plenty of goalscoring positions so that they get on the scoresheet and Matty is doing that right now. Looking at yesterday when you hit the woodwork twice and the keeper makes a few superb saves you just have to say its not your day. But he was still my man of the match. We will probably have to agree to disagree about Matty but I think we are both in agreement that we desperately want to get back into the league so that we can attract more of the likes of Stubbs, Bannister, Warboys, Roberts, Stewarts and Hayles! UTG!

Paying money to come and produce a poopy atmosphere for everyone else. Even more baffling to me. Does he create a poopy atmosphere at matches? There is a boo-boy epidemic at the Mem. This is obvious to anyone willing to be honest about our atmosphere. There were a bunch of older blokes behind me who's only contribution all match was sarcastically chanting "Tote End oldboys" and calling all our players c*nts. They actually told the chanting section to shush at one point. North terrace, middle, slightly left of centre. As Tbone's life seems to revolve around coming on here to call everyone useless, I don't find it hard to believe he's one of them. Obviously I apologize if I'm wrong.
