To think that before the game there were questions about Ward, Garrett and Promise!
Enjoyable watch today, only criticism is we should have scored more.
All players gave their all, stand outs possibly Thomas and Mola.
Will miss Conteh next week.

Thomas played very well. He was everywhere today. Absolutely. My man of the match. Thought Garrett did very well too. Tigerish in the tackle, and good distribution. Looks a real find. |

A good all round performance. This team battles for the shirt and gives everything. Cant really fault anyone tpday and that includes the Manager.Lets improve on the crowd next home game. We should be getting 10000,

Was a very good performance. Thought the team played as a team which was good to see. Luke Thomas was here there and everywhere, the blue and white pimpernel. Going forward though, seems to be lacking a bit of confidence. Second half he was through on goal and then stopped to try and pass, rather than having a pop at goal. Thought he did the right thing by drawing in the defender then passing to BB in loads of space. |

Mola was absolutely brilliant today back three were solid but second half mola just looked right up for it lol utg How the F did we sign him. The most skilful defender I have seen in the quarters. |

First half was underwhelming. Second half was much better. Don't want to be overwhelmed or underwhelmed. I just want the three points. Job done today. |

Grant Ward was everywhere, much better performance. He`s come in for a bit of stick on the forum, and I kept my eye on him all game. I thought his positioning was spot on. Very solid performance. |

My first game of the season. Enjoyed it and the three points.
The only worry for me was the way we seemed to be a worse team when the raft of subs came on. We were pretty much in control until then. I appreciate Promise looked knackered but I’m not sure I would have taken off Billongo or Moore who were excellent. Did we really need to change anything? This isn’t to moan at the subs. Someone above said we looked a well organised side but that wasn’t the case for the last 15 mins. And yes I know that SS had a great chance to make it 3-0 so the subs did something.
But the better side won. Pleased for the manager and all the players.

If I was MT I’d make LT spend the whole of one day every week doing nothing but shooting at the goal. He is such a good player and he did well today but he should score more. |

My take on today
That central back 3 are absolutely superb every one of them but my god mola. What a player he is. Absolutely terrific centre half.
To those who questioned Luke Thomas place in the team there was your answer. By far and away our most dangerous attacking player. Absolutely everywhere today. He does get the odd thing wrong in attacking situations but his workrate up and back is unquestionable.
I thought shout outs to ruwl who was also superb first half. His pressing is brilliant and promise who had a very good game. So strong on the ball.
Garrett also got better as the game went on. His a vicious little bugger and winds up the opposition which I love.

Ps. Stokes the sh*t head for them was awful which made the day even better.

Happy with result but need to retain possession a lot better than we do. We’ve had inferior possession in every game we’ve played so far this season and against the better sides we will get punished by giving the ball away.

Well deserved win, solid again and pressed very well as a team. Thought there were a lot of very good performances & brilliant to see Omechere get off the mark.
Hard to pick a mom, Thomas, Moore, Mola & Garett all stood out but most importantly the work rate of the whole side was outstanding.
Plenty to be positive about

I know what you mean, but he’d been on a yellow for 45 mins already and was having a storming game so I would have kept him on, only 8 mins plus injury time to go. But what do I know. MT knows zillions of times more re football than me. And all’s well that ends well. |

Luke Thomas immense today not just going forward but defensively too. I think RWB is his best position by far and where he should focus developing as a player. Really seems to excel with the space and driving us forwards. He was everywhere!
