People calling out the keeper for a bad day at the office like he isn't the one of the primary reasons we have 7 points on the board already.
This forum is so reactionary, it blows my mind. We were crap today, picked up apart by a better team and lacksadaisical throughout - no disagreement. Calling for the managers head is hilarious, especially given the teams we've played so far. We're 14th, not 24th.

No need to over react. We are a club building a better future. We will have games like this. We learn, improve and get back to winning games.

Truly dire, I will not be back until Taylor is gone, I truly believe he is not good enough, he was a knee jerk appointment. I have no faith in the policy sold to the fans regarding young players. Apologies, but i hope to be proven wrong and would happily sit here with egg on my face, but will not hold my breath. Unlike many i have not been convinced by what i have witnessed so far.

We're 14th, not 24th. He’s been our best player this season for sure. Has an off day and we concede four goals says it all. We were so bad all over the pitch it’s hard to single out one area but I do think that over the course of the the season so far Centre midfield is the biggest worry. Other than conteh we don’t seem to have anybody who knows what’s involved put of possession. Ward was in poor form and then got injured. Hutchinson reminds me of Westbrooke Garret same as Hutchinson Mc Cormick has been poor other than his loan season and that was years ago. The young lad I’ve forgotton his name looks more of an attacking player. That area is weak and has generally looked weak all season. Today we were poor all over the pitch but generally we’ve defended ok and we’ve scored a few with players still to find their feet new signings etc. But the midfield I’m very worried about.

- Iron out keeper's performance, handling and setting up a wall
- Play a right footer on the right hand side to take on the opposition left back

Today is exactly the reason I said people shouldn't get carried away after the Cambridge win.
We've beat 2 very poor teams. And lost or should of lost to the decent teams. We look like a 12th-24th league one team.
That's where we will finish. Come up against anyone decent we will lose 8 times out of 10.
We have to stop this back 5 nonsense. Why can't he see that to play a back 5 you have to have outstanding wingbacks or you completely nullify yourselves as an attacking threat.
We look absolutely lacklustre going forward probably the most impotent I've seen since garners reign. It has to change.

At some point we have to trust a process or it’s another rebuild with another set of ideas and back room staff!! Some very good signings, some still adapting, some will fail. Ultimately we have a VERY young and inexperienced squad, the hope is they have time to grow together and become a force once that process evolves. UTG

MT won’t survive here. It’s just not good enough. I think we’ve got some decent players in the side but I don’t think MT knows what he is doing. What’s the statistics now on goals scored at home per game since he’s been in charge? Glad I’ve been playing football in the park with my boys than watching that game. Jumpers for goalposts?

No luckily they had nets, will have to go there again when not on call or driving, the wonderful Seymour Arms in Witham Friary was opposite. Or when the knee recovers…..

UTG But in those 6 games this season, nothing has changed from last season under Matt Taylor.
If there was an obvious improvement in performance, or a philosophy or game plan that was evident, then maybe he'd get more leeway from some, myself included.
There isn't though.
A well run club would have a blueprint or philosophy through it, that no matter who the manager is, there needn't be much upheaval or disruption.
That's why Swansea previously, Bournemouth, Luton do so well for example.
Matt Taylor should be under huge pressure, he's spent big in comparison to us, bringing in Conteh, Promise, Sotiriou, Hutchinson, Shaq Forde etc and there has literally been zero improvement, I get they are a young bunch, but still there has been no real obvious progress, in terms of performance or results.

Totally agree , we need Thomas running at people but when he receives the ball he’s facing his own goal and running in towards the centre circle. Awful decision to play him there. Also Bolongo should be on the left wing or up front. He’s not a defender in a million years. In a back four we could play mola at left back or even move him in to midfield alongside Conteh to strengthen what is a centre midfield with a very weak underbelly. Then we could keep persevering with Hutchinson in the knowledge that we’ve got conteh and mola behind to keep things tight behind him and hopefully with more time he’d create. Promise in the middle with bolingo and Thomas either side up front and we’d see a more dynamic Rovers that move it quicker and get behind teams with width and more pace. I feel Taylor’s built a decent squad but he’s not utilising them correctly.

This backs up my fears. As an attacking unit we have looked absolutely diabolical since game one. Things have to change and the formation is the easiest place to start.

Young keeper has been excellent until today but had a real stinker today.
The defense is still disorganised, some days they ride their luck today they did not.
Midfield both defensively and creativity wise have been poor all season.
Young players need a few old heads to steer and guide them and they are not playing that role...you win nothing with just youngsters as the saying goes.
MT does not know his best formation or least bad should I say and does not seem to be able to coach defense or create chances.
Another performance or two like this in the next few weeks will mean curtains for MT...he will be a worried man tonight.
